They just look a like... It was the first robbery case of Masami Hirota(Akemi Miyano).. When they decided not ot kill her... It was to fix it they made another which is 128. Where Akemi ultimately died... I dont know the exact episode somewhere in the 10ths... U can always use wiki  They also change the story where Akemi is looking for his fake father... But this one she was a banker...

Aren't they from the anime version of the case with the bomb on the train? In the Japanese manga Conan learns their codenames, in the English manga he learns the wrong codenames (Kaspar and Melkior?  ) and in the anime it's not Gin and Vodka at all but some ugly lookalikes.

^ Melkior and Kaspar are Gin and Vodka's name...

Not their real names. They were extra codenames stuck in the english manga for reasons unknown. It kinda ruins a gag just after Ai appears, when the woman in charge of the counterfeiting organization is arrested; Conan says "so you'll tell us all about Gin and Vodka?" and she replies "Sorry, I stopped drinking a while ago." They try to fix it at one point by having Kogoro comment that he's hungover from drinking "kaspar gin and melkior vodka", but I just don't get why they do things like this.
