Let me revive this topic by posting something that is completely out of context.

I'm gonna list the reasons why I consider Ai to be my favourite character:

• She actually had a terrible childhood, and that shows in her personality. ie. She has a more down to earth personality.
• She's probably one of the most real characters, in the sense that she doesn't have one sole goal in life (eg. take down the B.O. or, well, kill everyone or whatever the B.O. has going on for itself). She wants to help Conan, but she's always putting herself first.
• Sarcasm is hilarious.
• She's just so hardcore  ;)

Who doesn't do that? I dunno, I always prefer secondary characters. SesshoMaru, Youko Kurama, Jacob Black, the Weasley Twins, Han Solo...
