But that's fictional...I still believe that friendships between guys or girls can last long if it's real and true. I have several best friends who still in contact with me often even though I moved to a totally different country. And I would say that our friendship is strong and possibly unbreakable!

Wow, lots wrong with those assertions. First, they don't need to confess their feelings to have them, and we should know by now that they love each other as more than friends. Second, there's plenty of evidence that Ran's suspicious again. Third, it takes an awful lot of hand-waving to claim nothing has changed from chapter 3. Ran's now pretty sure what she's been told to wait for, we can figure this out from their talk of their "deductions" in Highway Murder. Being told to wait for him wasn't even something that happened until volume 26. Ran's gone from angry confrontation about Shin'ichi playing games to quiet acceptance that he has good reasons to lie to her when she's suspicious of Conan. Like everything else, it's either slow or cycled with a reset button, but you aren't giving Aoyama credit for what he has developed. Not enough to keep you interested (or didn't care enough about to pay attention in the first place) is honest opinion I can respect. "Still on chapter 3" is just nonsense.

You're generalising to much... it's even the other way around: Boys tend to have stronger friendships between them than girls.

Haha, but at the same time, do you know that girls' friendships tend to be more fickle than guys'. You can be best friends with them for two years and suddenly you guys just lose apart for some small reason. Aren't guys' friendships stronger or something? At least in my experience.

I think Ran kinda feels her feelings towards Shinichi are one sided and maybe it would have been the other way around for Shinichi if Ran didn't pretty much tell him she loved him in the second episode. Of course after episode Ran's Tears I think its 523 maybe...Not good with numbers so don't mind me...Shinichi kinda told her its something they both want to say, so maybe its not one sided any more after that. Of course, with Shinichi Ran may think its something about Sherlock Holmes, so maybe she is wrong about that one too...But I think she really is unsure HOW he feels for her. Especially with him calling her an idiot all the time. I'd probably karate chop him for that.

Also I kinda love how Heiji/Kazuha didn't get listed on the friends thing.

Shinichi does love Ran, but I'm just talking from what would be Ran's point of view, and it did end up just being a friendly date since no one really admitted it and when Ran did she took it right back. But she didn't know, and I really don't think Shinichi realized Ran loved him either until his head blew up on the walk home.

I don't think Shinichi knew anything, I think they are both still too scared. I still want to see Conan tell Ran he's Shinichi, though I have a feeling it would end up like the OVA and she wouldn't believe him, but she'd still wait for him to turn back.

Also I think Ran/Kazuha Ran/Sonoko have two different kinds of friendships. Ran/Sonoko is more like the BFF I grew up with you, we're gonna always be together best friends, when Ran/Kazuha both have the same type of relationships with someone they like, where Sonoko is more of a party girl. So I might actually have to go with Ran/Kazuha since they have both similar feelings to the two guys they both like. And also Sonoko did try to hit on Heiji and it still makes me laugh just thinking about that.

Shinichi/Ran: Hmm, Pretty Good friendship.
Conan/Ran: Not really friendship more like lil bro and big sis or mother and child even.
Conan/Heiji: Hmm don't really see them together enough to determine but it should be great in theory.

Ran/Kazuha: a great one too but alas also not seen very much

Conan/Haibara?: I don't even know what to call it? If it is friendship then definitley a way cooler version of it. The way they understand each other in such a short amount of time to the point where they know what each other is thinking? Definitely one of the best. I still think its more than just a mere friendship tho.
Conan/DB?: Well... This was a forced friendship...

Actually I disagree. I think Ran/Sonoko has the more real friendship. They've been friends for longer and Ran likes Sonoko for her, not her money. Which show's Ran's angelic side. She isn't the greedy type.

I mean her personality.
I don't think there is anyone out there, so honest, kind, trusting of others and ability to believe people are good.
And willing to take shots for a little girl she doesn't know much about.

I felt bad for Ran in the first episode. Since Shinichi was kinda a jerk, but he ends up being a good guy. Ran was quite obvious in showing she wanted the date to be something more. But they both failed even at the end when he goes to run off to become Conan she wanted something else and for him to listen to her.

I'm a lot like Ran. A lot of the things she has done, I'd say I'd done too, including saving people. Though dead bodies don't fly at me. I like Ran/Sonoko, but you can tell Ran gets annoyed with Sonoko when she is all over the guys and almost a few times voices her annoyances to her. Kazuha/Ran are at an understanding, its hard to see, but the looks they give each others, its a trust I think she has with her about the boys (Conan/Heiji even Shinichi the few times he shows up and they are around)
