Episode 551 (The Culprit is Genta's Dad (part 1)) Discussion

The last case was boring. This one is not boring. I really doubt that Genta's dad is the culprit though.

I enjoyed the random Holmes quotes and the fact that this episode didn't end with Conan predictably reexplaining the plot and saying "One of those three people murdered him. But...who is it?!" (shows the 3 suspects and maybe someone else behind Conan while the background turns into a random color)

I wish the culprit is actually Genta's dad, that would be a pretty good mini story arc, but I definetely learned my lesson during the karaoke box case.  It's never one of the main chars.

this is probably the last manga case that I didn't read (the next ones will be those I read) so I have no clue. I think the solution has something to do with the kanji.

Hm, another episode I'm going to pass on.  I remember this case from the manga for the most part.  It was pretty fun trying to figure out who Genta's father was.

I'm guessing that genta's dad is the one whose face looks like a Thwomp block, but at the same time I think that's the expected answer so it'll end up being the blue-haired squinty-eyed guy so it can pull a 180.

Caught in ten minutes, nice. I've noticed you have become way more active on the boards since "retiring". I guess when you said you were stepping into the shadows you actually meant it in a weird Ninja/Stalker kind of way. A Ninja Stalker that is always aware of what happens on the boards now. .

Buuuut yep, have more time for posting now whether I manage to do it or not. I'll pop in every now and again with some of my undeniably witty "oh-no-he-didn't" type of posts as we go on.

And then Akonyl shows up, posts, and rides into the sunset, leaving me shedding tears of disappointment.
