Thats not what I meant. What I mean is that I think Aoyama has it all planned out, all of the important major parts planned (whether he actually drew them, who knows) and is now just filling in cases between all of the major imporant scenes. I haven't read any of the most recent stuff, so maybe I'm wrong but I don't think every single case lately has been of critical importance.

This has been true half of the time since the 400s. 400-424, not that important. 425-437, important. 438-456, not that important. 457-474, important. 475-490, not that important. 491-523, VERY important. 524-???, not that important, but it gets bonus points for presumably an ending for the Sato and Takagi stuff.

In an interview, Gosho said he already has the ending mapped out (in case the worst happens).  This obviously doesn't mean that nothing between now and then is important, but it does mean he isn't just making shit up as he goes (for BO related material).

Seriously, though, these days filler chaptes just make me want to die. They're as awesomely-written as ever, but... WHERE IS THE PLOT? It's getting so serious, and there's so many characters, surely plot can happen on a regular basis... or Kid. Because if Kid's story doesn't get finished somewhere in this, I am going to cry. TOICHI MUST NOT GO UNAVENGED!

It has become obvious that the series is still running for reasons other than itself. Maybe it's just me but the series has become stagnant and it reflects in this forum. There's not much to talk about except for the same events happening again but only with different players. It would not surprise me if Gosho's mapped out ending(and mapped out series after he past his true ending point) looks like:

Insert Black Org. event - Insert Couple Event - Insert Ran suspects Shinichi event - Insert DC boys case- Insert Kaitou kid Event- Insert Black Org. event - Insert Couple Event - Insert Ran suspects Shinichi event - etc.

and of course the series will end at the "Insert Black Org. event".
