Same here! I still remember how amazed I was after watching it for the first time.. But maybe that's only because it has AiCon material (I mean the love-triangles thing). "Magic" is also a good enough opening; I like the scenes because they kinda seem different (new ideas, better drawings and colors), though I have to admit I'm not found of the song itself. I'm a big Rina fan, but that song just isn't that good; she has better songs, they should have chosen another one. =/

I don't mind the song, I just don' really enjoy the animations.  It was kinda like a linear-cheesy opening.  Conan and Ran lovey dovey crap, Haibara feeling happy with the detective boys...blah blah blah

Put in some cool stuff...like Akai's death scene, haibara in the bus, Conan doing some cool-ass shit with the BO...I dunno, something interesting!

This IS a mystery shonen manga/anime, not a romantic love-dovey shojo something.
No i do like shojo mangas/anmes too. (a few only of cource )

The anime opening is an important thing. It needs to convince you to stay and watch the anime and raise your interests about it. But for that, it needs to have some more action and stuff like that (and some mysterious characters and in this case, there are only Akai, Kaito Kid and Gin). So this new opening doesn't provide any of that.
Revive was good and some others too.

Since 95 percent of the episodes are not even close to having that much action that would be a bait and switch. Which is not a good idea.

isn't that the same thing as including Kaito Kid in almost every OP since he was introduced, yet he was in only 8 cases?

That's what I also think. btw, another important thing to have is a good song but this one...well you know what I think.

yes but he is in the OP for only a second or two while the action parts I assume would last much longer than that. (and they have, look at OP 15)

Heh; while I like "Everlasting Luv" a lot better, I took a liking to this opening.  Rina has had better songs, but I love the animation and how it seems more fluid (which is saying a lot for mass-produced anime).  The small part with Takagi taking out his wallet rather than the badge made me laugh.

Some usual generic stuff, but I liked the fall themed look towards the end.
