There was this one anime with a cooking contest. A character shapeshifted into Conan and bragged a lot. He wanted another character to say "Conan has a big ego," because that sounds like something related to food.
That's Yakitate Japan. And here's a link to that scene:

In DN angel This show practical revolves around a fake Kaito kid!
Revolves around a fake Kaito Kid?! It definitely doesn't. Its story is very different from that of Kaito Kid that it would be odd to say that it has some DC references. Just because it has "kaito" in it and he's called a phantom thief doesn't mean it's a Kaito Kid ripoff.
"Every man’s heart, one day, beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized."

It's been years since I last saw a Ranma 1/2 episode, but today I happened to catch one, and to my surprise I found the following scene:
So, I thought I'd post it as a Conan reference. But I've done some digging and it turns out that this episode aired two years before Conan ever existed. It seems '真実ã
I havent noticed DC references in other anime other then in Pokemon where Meowth was wearing Conans outfit.
And in Ranma or CG saying Conans phrase, those i saw be4 i started rewatching Conan. <_<''
(And be4 that i had never watched Conan with english sub nor dub.)
Ah and that scene in Pandora Hearts Special, i didnt notice even that she looked like Conan. xD
I think. <_<
It was weird being reminded how goofy Ranma 1/2 is. We complain about Conan when he dodges bullets on his skateboard or when Kaito Kid does impossible changes with people surrounding him. However, there's nothing in Conan that can compare to the insanity that's in Ranma 1/2!!
Totally agree. If you think something's getting overly bizarre or illogical, read a chapter of Ranma, and then reread the first thing. It will all make perfect sense by comparison.
I noticed this when I was reading volume 1 of Rosario Vampire last week:
Spoiler:
It's a bit hard to see in this scan, but the gravestone on the right of the center panel says "In Memory of Kaito K." I've by now read the first 2 volumes, and so far that's the only gravestone where there was a visible name. The rest just say "In Memory of" and "Rest in Peace", no name. A possible reference?
