Yeah, the Danpei Gosho is referring to is most likely Danpei Tange from the boxing manga series Ashita no Joe.

Apparently, there is also an anime series called "Ikkyū-san" that ran from 1975-1982, which told the fictional childhood adventures of that historical monk.

Ikkyū-san(一休さん) is a little Buddhist monk who is smart and playful like other children. He often outsmarts adults. The animation based on the historical Zen Buddhist monk Ikkyū that follows his mischievous adventures as a child during his stay at Ankoku-ji Temple. In each episode, Ikkyū relies on his intelligence and wit to solve all types of problems, from distraught farmers to greedy merchants.

A child who outsmarts adults and uses his intelligence to solve problems? Sounds familiar...

I know Gosho goes to Singapore for a manga festival but from pic 3 I think File 1000 will have something related to Singapore. Movie 20 also showed Singapore scenes in the ending song.

Here’s to hoping that the next big happening around File 1000 will contain a lot of gathered materials. At least about ten years ago, many breaks weren’t a bad omen—what came after five issues without a new chapter was Clash of Red and Black.

I know Gosho goes to Singapore for a manga festival but from pic 3 I think File 1000 will have something related to Singapore. Movie 20 also showed Singapore scenes in the ending song.

Though we can’t know yet, I doubt that. I think the festival in Singapore and his gathering materials are not related. Aoyama probably simply wants to use every break to polish his plans for the anniversary chapters. They have already been hyping them for months, and it won’t be too long until next summer, after all, so it better be convincing.
