Concerning myself, it's fairly obvious. I have an entire wall-of-text-post detailing my position

Should there still be questions, go ahead and ask!

For xpon, I'm not sure. The cheating issue came up only after you had announced your discontent, so there has to be something else as well. Mind to explain?

For vittor, I have no idea. You stated authentication on IRC as the issue, but considering that you said yourself:
it seems you have greatly misunderstood the issue at hand, as on the forums, everyone is always authenticated, as we all enter a password in order to log into our account to begin with.vittor wrote:Last game we made a great alliance without IRC, without undeniable proofs like [authentication on IRC]. And it was a lot more fun.
So, would you mind explaining why you consider authentication on the forums great, but consider authentication on IRC a great problem?

As all three of them belong to top category, I'm not going to play as long as one of them (except perhaps BCCs, but in this case, don't expect me to accept PMs as a method of communication) is allowed.c-square wrote: Okay, here's another attempt at a compromise:
Callid, do those work for you? xpon, vittor, does that sound like a reasonable compromise for each of you?
- Impersonation on IRC is allowed
- BCCs are not allowed
- Mass quotes are not allowed
I'm going to give us until Sunday evening for us to come up with rules everyone can play with. If we can't come up with agreed upon rules by then, then I'll declare the game over and shut down the thread.
In any case, there's no need to end the game because of this (though we'll need a restart, if only to make it fair for hoshi). No matter if we end up using my rules or someone elses, you could simply use a different map (e.g. Ancient Mediterranean), or, if only one player is missing, leave out Italy (as the rulebook suggest). So, perhaps you should rather do one of these if there's no compromise on Sunday, instead of quitting despite there being (at least) 5 interested players around.
