Kogorous Riddle Thread and eworms Deduction Thread

I'm probably not gonna, not spending enough time in this thread to spend long amounts of time on such involved riddles



as for a new riddle, hm. I don't have one on my mind right now, so I'll just find and drag one out:

Two men are in prison for a random crime, and are thrown into the same cell. The cell is quite tall, with a window at the top: if they reached it, they could get out. However, try as they might, they can't reach the window by any means, standing on each other, standing on the bed, etc. It's 30 feet up and they have no way of getting up there.

So they try a second approach, to dig a tunnel out of the cell. They manage to break through a small section of the wall, however they realize that every time they dig, the tunnel ends up collapsing and building a proper tunnel that wouldn't collapse would take far too long. So, they abandon the tunneling out idea as well.

One of the prisoners has a great idea as to how to get out of the cell then, and they do. How did they go about escaping the cell?

They dig small holes in the wall and use them to climb to the window

They dig enough stones (or whatever the wall was made of) to build a "tower" and get to the window.

the idea was that it was dirt, but yeah, they'd use the stuff they dug out of the hole to pile it up to the window. :V

Yay, my turn again... And I don't really know what to... Okay, let's continue with the matches, even though Nya-girl is going to hate me for that.

The previous riddle was about making four identical, equilateral triangles from six matches. Now we raise the difficulty level - how do you make six identical, equilateral triangles from the same number of matches - six? Again, without breaking them.

you make two equilateral triangles with 3 matches each, put them over one another and flip one, so it's a star of david pattern. You end up with 1 hexagon and 6 small equilaterals.

or, actually, if you don't wanna, in the vein of matchstick riddles (dunno if it's been posted yet as I haven't read all the other pages ):

you have 10 trees to plant: How can you plant them so that you have 5 straight rows of 4 trees?
