I have Kyoko 4 I assembled - and like all her predecessors she was built from parts intended to maximize memory storage and processing capability for highly intensive tasks like video rendering and export... I should make a not of offloading my secondary drive TERAICE to a hybrid one of these days the low read time on the damn thing is probably one of the meanest bottlenecks the system has... I should also get ready for my biannual scorched earth campaign - seems this installation is starting to become questionable and its time for a clean OS....


I'd back up my OS drives but with the massive number of non-os updates that would involve its hardly worth the restore effort... guess that's one more for the ever growing todo list

I wish I could afford to be that lackadaisical about my tech. My job means means the ability maintain my own equipment and operating system are top priority. it really makes me appreciate how terribly most machines are treated. back when I worked in IT I'd see far too many choked with dust or with temp folders clogged with worthless garbage or worse riddled with malware...

I did just upgrade to and off site backup for my work files - it would be a nightmare if my secondary drive failed - this should prevent that...

Personally I like this guy he's spent several drunken years in japan and he REALLY makes me feel like not moving to japan when I had the chance was a good idea.
