It does look decent, but that does pretty much kill my hopes of seeing Avenger!Spidey anytime soon So the only other hope really is that the new Spiderman movie is somehow unutterably perfect and pulls in ten billion in box office money and causes financial considerations to overrun Marvel's conflict of interest with Sony and agree to a crossover.


....basically, I'm not getting Avenger!Spidey.

Sony, of course, cut the cartoon rights and kept the movie rights.

Me, upon hearing about a new Spider-Man cartoon this year that was going to incorporate the larger Marvel universe like the 90s cartoon did: HELL YES!

Me, upon watching a few episodes of it: ....*epic disappointment*

So hopefully this one will flop after a season and a half and they'll try again five years later. Again. Why is Spider-Man so hard for people to get right?

At least the Avengers cartoon is pretty good.

The one Sony had and gave up was Sensational Spiderman.  From what I heard, it was amazing, but I never watched it.  It ran from 2008-2009, which is when they had to give up the rights to either the cartoons or movies.  I think there's a new one, Ultimate Spiderman, but that's from Marvel/Disney.

I see. I never watched the 2008 one either. Ultimate Spider-Man is the one I'm talking about, that I really don't care for. :/ It's like they saw how Teen Titans was all zany and slightly anime-ish, and thought "Hey, let's do that, except have it be really awkward and not funny."
