As for the game taking too long:
If people want to, I could add some extra rules that would reveal information randomly or something, so that the game would be faster after 2 weeks or so. What do you guys prefer?

No, no need for that. At least not right now. If it looks like the game is going nowhere, then maybe. But I would say GM hints tend to make things worse.
