Question, is it possible that he had a wire on him that Vermouth was listening to? Even if he were PSIA, he would have to remain ambiguous with his statement then, to avoid blowing his cover.MeiTanteixX wrote:but then why did he deliberately mention where he is taking her? He said clearly that he is taking her back to organization alive, he could've just been silent about where he is taking her, not lie about it, if his so-called agency colleagues weren't gonna take her there. Sure, he wouldn't anticipate that she will think they're taking her for protection (if that's the case) but it's better than lying and and actually making her resist more!!The_evilbit wrote:I can only speculate on who is chasing the FBI because really at this point we as the readers do not know. There is little for us to really go on other than Gosho's writing style. I am convinced both Conan an Akai are pulling a Kansas City Shuffle. Bourbon however, I do not think would risk exposing himself by calling police or some other group he can't control after the FBI. He needs at the very least detain Jodie and Camel, not just spook them by sending police officers after them. Even if it was the police, remember the entire country only has 10 detectives in it, so there is a high probably they would be instantly known as FBI "Tourists" and let go.
I personally think if Bourbon is undercover for another agency those are his men. Remember he mentioned his unknown colleagues would collect Shiho during the Mystery Train case. Its obvious Bourbon controls or has pull with some entity.
I do not believe they are BO either as Gin would be hunting down Kir right now and the BO would be sending everyone to the Kudo residence instead.
So in conclusion I do not know.

You have no idea how much it bothers me that Amuro's been keeping his hand in his pocket at the end of 895. Even when sitting down, his hand is in his pocket, so I want to know what is going on.

After reading the last chapter I definitely got the feel finally that Bourbon is wrong about Okiya, and after reading your sweet theory I like the even more. It's interesting to see Conan's strategic thinking be shown to be one step ahead of even Akai (who has in the past been one step ahead of everybody's). The point about the TV though is definitely singular.Jd- wrote:As I was saying on the cbox when the spoilers hit:I'm also still expecting a scene in which:Spoiler:And, my pet theory:Spoiler:As for Vermouth helping out:Spoiler:Of course, Conan is in control now. The "bad guys" (Amuro, specifically) have apparently had the good guys on the ropes for a while now with all his discoveries, so the tide's about to turn I'd think. After all, Conan is staying over at Agasa's for the night, which is this series' equivalent of "Just according to keikaku."Spoiler:
So the merits of such a plan from Akai's perspective is this perhaps:?

So I've been looking things up related to that and it's interesting.
Amuro hides his hands when talking about the people outside and deliberately trying to be ambiguous about who they are. He hides his hand when discussing what's going to happen to Jodie and Camel and what that call from his people is. But, when deducing what is going on with Akai, he's got both hands out in the open. This is also an issue with knowing body language: liars often hide their hands while lying.
Meanwhile, during the mystery train arc, he's wearing white gloves during the final confrontation. In literary symbolism, gloves denote deception. White gloves, though, are symbolic of purity.

Wow this is interesting,I don't know if Gosho uses body language in his manga...PhantomWriter wrote:So I've been looking things up related to that and it's interesting.

I also wondered why he had to wear gloves during the MT case, especially if he had no intention of killing Sherry.

I wonder where CIA will play. we know what both FBI and BO do. but CIA is pretty much wild card. guessing the one that chase FBI and in front of the door is CIA. rarely BO work in large group. TBH kinda dislike how conan will randomly appear when we need them. but at least it been foreshadowing this time
any idea why Amuro just go ahead tell Okiya that he is Akai? seem like he is there asking for help instead "killing" him

To be fair, Gin wears white gloves in the manga (changed to black in the anime). Although, Gin is pretty much pure evil.PhantomWriter wrote:So I've been looking things up related to that and it's interesting.

...Since we are talking about body language and appearances and all, I noted that Amuro's shirt was untucked. I think he might be packing his pistol in his pants (vs a shoulder holster). His vest is high enough that it might interfere with a draw, compared to the much lower cut Mystery Train outfit where he did use a shoulder holster.

If he doesn't leave any clues people would rip their hairs because it's bs, right?
How about you stay away from spoiler threads for next 5 chapters and see for yourself if Gosho can surprise you or not...

body exchange trick, the trick is also done by vermouth upon first appearance when her mother (sharon) died.

Gosho is being subtle. If you want shock, stay the hell away from the discussion threads and try to solve it yourself because everything gets nitpicked over until there is no mystery left.Conan324 wrote:I don't know if it just me, but i wish gosho would be more subtle in droping hints in such files (how many times does the macadmey has to be mentioned?), it kinda removes the shock value.
Maybe. It was a closed casket funeral, so no fake body was even needed.imtheboboss wrote:body exchange trick, the trick is also done by vermouth upon first appearance when her mother (sharon) died.

I just wonder if the organization (gin, bourbon, vodka) not realized that sharon is vermouth. If the trick is uncovered, they may be starting to realize also about vermouth and Sharon are the same person.

The only reason I phrased it like that is because I recall him complaining about how there was no surprise in the train case because everyone predicted the outcome ahead of time, and people gave him the same advice back then. If he is still looking at theories and spoilers after that discussion, then he is self-defeating.MeiTanteixX wrote:That "sounded" a little harsh, though i do agree with u chek, k11chi "sounded" more polite ^_^Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:Gosho is being subtle.
