Well, I did enjoy the music and the very random throwbacks to Conan.

For being an Inspector, I'm surprised Nakamori believed him when Kid was like "yeah, Kaito's face was just a trick" considering that's the face he's always seen with. :I

Well, that's supposed to be the first time Nakamori actually sees his face, all the other times he was or with masks or playing with shadows and lights and the monocle to hide his face, otherwise it makes no sense at all.

I was actually a little disappointed in the Conan Cameos, I was hoping they'd just show Ran-Shinichi and imply that this event happened during the first Detective Conan, but we get random non cannon shots of the DB instead. Oh well, I loved this anime adaption since I remember not really being super interested in the manga version, but the music and updated touches make it more fun. Looking forward to the next one.

I have enjoyed it over all, but for some reason I did not comfortable with Kaito's drawing

...mm I was disappointed.  I watched this with my roommates, telling them that it was about a thief who uses magic tricks, and said it was good.

The first 13 minutes was all cheesy love crap, which we all disliked... more trickz and magic please!  Honestly, this didn't hold a candle to the first Magic Kaitou episode
