I would actually like to see some examples of how the anime ruins anything significant that doesn't involve the obvious examples of episodes 5 and 13.

I agree with any other manga/anime that the manga is better however (Naruto anime was 20 times better than the manga before the fillers)

I like watching the DC episodes better cause it has some action in it and I think that it's better to watch the action when it's really moving.

Umm let's see.

Pacing:  Anime has a tendency to do flashbacks just to fill up the time.  The worse is when they needlessly drag scenes on and on....(episode 345, but it's still one of my favs).

Gawd now that I just watched that episode again, the voice acting hurtssss.  If I read the manga then I can say Vermouth and Jodie has perfect English :D.

Drawings:  To be fair to animate something and to drawing a manga frame once is completely different.  The anime can be awesome but it depends on the studio working on it at the time.

Another nitpick about the drawings is that they can't always follow Gosho's expressions.  They basically have different styles.
Hey, I have an idea, let's have a THIS SUCKS / NO THIS SUCKS / NO YOU / NO YOU argument for a couple pages, that will really be great. - Ingmar

you taking the word "significant" out of my post makes this post worth reading.

oddly, I love the terrible attempts at English.

The art is...interesting imo. The anime looks worse when the art was just...normal and boring (after the first year of the anime and ending before the Chinatown Deja Vu case) and the anime looks better after that and at the beginning. (although sometimes the newer episodes are poorly done (523 is the most obvious example)). Although, OP 12 had that awesome art style that looked like an animated manga volume cover that looks better than anything in the anime ever. So...yeah it's interesting.

The flashbacks have never really annoyed me outside of that stupid flashback in 504.

I tend to keep up with the manga a lot more than I do with the anime.  I'm more of a comics person than I am a cartoons person, so I tend to like reading a story at my own pace.

I watch the anime once in a while, mostly old episodes or episodes based off the cases I liked in the manga.

For me, I prefered also BOTH..
Both of it so GOOD..

Anime-the cool and cute scenes the best, the effects and sounds adds fuel to the fire..
Manga-the nice drawings are so cute..

i like the manga more.. i actually started watching dc first then i found that it had a manga too.. in the anime they don't always include the epilogues, which are usually the funniest parts. and the drawings in the manga are better. but i agree that in the anime you can understand the murderer's trick more. ^^
No amount of apologies will express how much I regret it.

Both.

I enjoy reading the manga so much, because it's like the "real" thing.
However, I knew DC from watching the anime, so it'll always be my favorite (blame my memories for that). lol
