*Wants someone to slap Gosho for dragging this out even longer*
Romance isn't the main theme of the series, so for the most part, I want them to hurry and get it over with. We've been waiting for years for something this direct to happen with those two. Darn you Gosho!!!
I feel very very let down too, but today, after breakfast I thought:
Maybe this is really the start to some kind of new developement? If from now on, Kazuha reacts differently around Heiji, maybe something will change? After all, this must have been like Kazuha finally found the key to open a door, after her confession... maybe she won't pretend anymore to feel as if Heiji is just her little brother =)
... I only think it is a tiny little possibility... with below than 1% chance to happen =(
But anyway *spreads hope* it COULD be, that from now on, things are different between Heiji and Kazuha! *tries to convince myself*

Yes, but romance is fun! I want SOME couples to last until the end...
Spoiler:
I enjoy the mysteries and everything, but the romance is my favorite part.

Then go watch some shoujo anime.
*flees*
But seriously, considering the fact that DC won't be reaching its end anytime soon, their relationship being the same as it used to be makes it better. Because when you don't have anything to improve the relationship of the said pairing, they'll become boring in due time, which is bad.
pemolalinifun, it's so hard to read your posts. I just want to stare at Maru. XD

Honestly, how would it be much different? They spend almost all their time together, acting like a couple, and they aren't the main characters.

Why thank you, I think I will! XD *Opens up a YouTube tab*
I think Gosho should at LEAST give us a hug between them or SOMETHING like that.

I hope Gosho doesn't extend it out that long. Here's my theory on why DC's comic is still going. I think Gosho himself has actually run into a huge writer's block with everything dealing with the FBI, Akai, Ai, the BO, and now Sera (okay, maybe not). He just procrastinating until he comes up with something logical to end this series with. He can end the manga and the anime would still go on regardless, so the anime isn't an excuse to me.
The problem is Shônen Sunday's sales have been declicing and DC is basically their only popular hit. When you look at this (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... since-2010), you'll notice that Gosho is the only mangaka from the Sunday (and from Shogakukan actually) in the top 20. Basically, unless the editors of the magazine manage to find a series with a success comparable to the one Conan is maintaining, the end of DC would most likely be like the last nail in the coffin of Shônen Sunday.

If such an entity really existed, wouldn't all honest, hard-working people be happy?"
To be fair, Hayate is only #23, so it isn't that far removed from top 20. But yeah, they're in rough shape, since I don't recognize any other SS title after Hayate until #45.
