If you tell me how to do it, I'll help test it for you. I assume I'll need an emulator, which I currently don't have. But if the regular DS Lite works, I can use that instead.

I don't know if I've mentioned that I would be willing to playtest, but I am. I do picky beta-reading, and I have friends who've done alpha-testing for work, so I do understand that playtesting isn't the same thing as just being able to play the game early.
I would truly love to help in any way I can...

A flash cart is needed to play on an actual DS.

You do not need to have a flash cart to play test, just use an emulator which is readily downloadable at http://desmume.org/
Play test date and specifics are still TBA, but hang tight!

Chapter 1 is nearing 100% completion. We are well into the rest of the game as well, but nailing down this one chapter is important because it provides a basis for much of the rest of the game, system wise.

I have several flash carts; iEDGE, M3 Real, AceKard 2i, R4i Gold, and Supercard DSTWO and DSONE.

Yep, I've used that emulator a lot of times and it's great

In fact when a game is very new and the cards don't have software to play it (for example my M3DSReal couldn't play 999 when it just came out), it's the best option.
