His left eye really looks odd in the keyhole.

I like ur effort, Mohamed.
I truly believe that theres a chance Chikara might end up as Rum, since a lot of things fit in well.
[ ] Yonehara = Rum
[ ] Kuroda = Amuros Boss
[x] MG = Mrs. Akai
[x] Haneda = Brother Akai
[ ] Rumi = Asaka
[ ] Wakita = Bo-Member Whiskey (aka the RAT)
[ ] Iori = just a butler

thank you my friend :)
I have mentioned almost 14 reasons and some additions previously in this forum about Chikara and his real identity , have you read them ??
Indeed, all pictures of Chikara indicate that he has an artificial eye

His left eye in that shot did not move like the right eye

I didn't understand why you drew a red line on Chikara's nose ?? Do you have a comment about it ? ;D

dccd used Chikara's nose as the U in RUM.

Honestly? I'd really like for this theory to be true. After carrying a torch for it these past few years, I'd like to have called the hidden suspect so far in advance. If Rum wasn't Hyōe, Rumi or Kanenori, I thought that it must be Chikara—that he would be for this arc what Dr. Araide was for the Vermouth arc.

But then Gosho answered the SDB Black+ question of "Is Rum definitely amongst the trio of Kuroda, Wakasa and Wakita?" with a yes. I believe Gosho wasn't lying when he answered that (the only way around the answer to this question is to assume he's straight-up lying—not merely misleading/misdirecting us, but telling a falsehood to us).

In terms of the misdirection he could still rely on while answering this question—and still have Rum turn out to be a hidden fourth suspect—the hidden fourth suspect would have to be disguised as one of the three apparent suspects. In other words, if Chikara is Rum, he would also have to be disguised as Kanenori, and I just don't find that likely (and I don't think it's likely he's disguised as Hyōe, either).
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”
“Education never ends... it is a series of lessons, with the greatest for the last.”

You have the right friend to expect who is Rum as you want ,I think you wouldn't be surprised even if Rum is Chikara at the end .
But for me , i can't change Rum identity so i really realise this is a repetition of Arc Vermouth exactly but with 3 red herrings not just one .
No matter for any one to be convinced that Chikara is Rum , but the important thing is least you expect there might be a fourth hidden suspect and there will be no surprise if he is really be the main Antagonist , so no problem :) :)

I forgot to mention an important hint as well , which is in file 908 , at which the 3 different descriptions of Rum were mentioned by Haibara , in this file there was a hint on camera men and journalists . I think this is a hint from Goshu that Rum is a famous person or appears in front of the cameras .

the big surprise Also in that file is no one of these three suspects is the murderer , the victim is the one who committed suicide but they were involved by another way , So I think this is also another hint from Goshu that Rum will not be one of those three suspects who will appear later , neither Kuroda , Wakita , nor Wakasa .

If it's DCCD, then most likely he is joking with R,U,M.

On a serious note, our guy(Gosho) does this sort of errors all the time, so take it with a pinch of salt.

To be fair he could be the disciple of the Shogi teacher of Kohji, he could have attended the same Shogi group along with Haneda. Given his daughter's age is 23, we can use if to get his age which would be mid/late forties 45-49, (In this series, the Oji-san brigade generally had their first kid/kid by their mid twenties.)

Now Kohji he is of the perfect age to be Kohji's senpai/classmate in Shogi school, cause Kohji died when he was around late Twenties/early Thirty.
So technically Kohji would wound up in the same age bracket.
In the long haul Katsumata might become important in the Kohji case solution, where he might give a hint about how to read the dying message (given the object Kohji grabbed before his death was the piece.)

You say that, yet you are adamant about Kuroda's Kohji thought-background inconsistency with Rumi's memories being completely intended :x

The issue isn't simple here, it's not a botched up eyebrow (Kuroda's eyebrows change size depends on Gosho's mood), or Rumi's hair length/Wakita's tooth and moustache.

But just lack of consistency is not the issue here. We don't have the blood and we also have a different angle of elevation. (Those two are two features of Kohji's corpse, yet Gosho forgetting it given this is not some character design and also the volume version remaining the same.)
All in all the difference exists in reality. (You too are pretty adamant that the shading of dirt in Rumi's pocket must indicate another piece, instead of Rumi's butt line. You know that could be a drawing mistake(the shading part) from Gosho.)

So the two pictures are different but if you're too adamant to duck that question fine by me but do think (you don't need to answer me.) why Kuroda needs the Uploader's site when he could just get his hands on the PSB cold case material ?? Then You can also get the answer why Kuroda's memories are different than Rumi/Yumi/Mary/Amuro's.

In File 1037, it was revealed that Akai was 15 years old 17 years ago. Just do the math and you will know in-story that he is 32.

And also, Chris Vineyard's age is obviously fake as well.
But clearly Gosho has no problem noting fake ages for characters with fake identities, so if Gosho wanted to give Katsumata a card, he could have given him any age (and you could still argue it's a fake age regardless, but the absence of a given age doesn't mean his age holds some big secret).

Despite the appearance of Chikara Katsumata on the key hole of Volume 85, but he did not have an identification card in his first and second appearance as well , all we knew about him his name because he said it himself , do you think that Goshu forgot to show identification card for a person who has a key hole in his first appearance !! This card appeared for Okiya Subaru, Wakasa Rumi , Kuroda and most of the characters in their first appearance , do you also think that Goshu cannot draw two identical eyes to Chikara in all the drawings even in the key hole ??!!
I mean, what is the reason for not showing his identification card, and not knowing his age , also why are his eyes not identical in your opinion ??
Gosho didnt show his identification card because Chikara it's not a suspect

Gosho didnt show his identification card because Chikara it's not a suspect
this is your opinion and I respect it :)
But my opinion this is very difficult because Chikara had a key hole in his first appeared in files 899 900 and this is a great occasion for manga to reach chapter 900 , his first appearance in the beginning of an important Arc ( Arc Rum ) but does not show an identification card , for me there is a great hidden cause behind it .
Chikara's daughter showed her identification card in her first appearance , why did Chikara himself not get a card too .

Also The inspector who also appeared in the series "The Magician of the Waves" who looks very similar to Chikara , didn't have an identification card too , file 972 973 974 .

Anyone wondering why Rum is interested in Shinichi, among other things?
I’m not really sure, but I think he wants to prove that Gin also screwed up at his job, just as Rum screwed up over Kohji.
Well but I think this applies if there is actually rivalry/passive-aggressive thingy going between them.

Well, Chikara Katsumata is a professional Shogi player. He needs to practise, teach his students, participate in tournaments and at the same time he needs to punch in 8 hours of work as Kanenori Wakita.

So this all in a nutshell weakens the theory enough.
How do you know he has student? if he had then he would instruct his daughter, but he asked it to Shukichi Haneda. Also Tournament are not so common as far as I'm concerned since many Shogi titles can be obtained only one time in a year. And yeah he need practice, but achieved some level of skillz you don't need practice the whole day.
If i goof remember Gosho also said that rum was appeared before the three RUM suspect appeared.

Time is Money ---> Tokiwa Kanenari and in the first case Chikara is Introduced, he was playing a shogi battle for the title against Shukichi in Tokiwa Hotel. He Probably created the idiom Time is Money taking inspiration from the Hotel name, and then he created the Alias Wakita Kanenor.

Bigger proof, their eyebrows differ.
I do acknowledge that both of them had stemmed from the same averagely built, middle aged, balding male character model.

``How do you know he has student? ``
During that chapter his own daughter admits that her father is too busy with his own student group.
``If i goof remember Gosho also said that rum was appeared before the three RUM suspect appeared.``
He never said that, he only said Lum has appeared which is wordplay on Rum/Lum. Lum invader has appeared in the manga.
``but achieved some level of skillz``
He needs the best level of skills, we are not talking about any community match of Beika-cho here......

``Time is Money ---> Tokiwa Kanenari ``
Yes that would be great disguise, to wear a bulls eye over his back just like that, the same way Rumi does.
