Although that’s certainly feasible, I’m not sure if it’s time yet.
I think they’ve done the right thing by increasing the delay between the manga and the anime to compensate for the numerous interruptions that Aoyama’s health made necessary. Instead of the established rule of thumb to adapt a case roughly one year after its original publication, we’ve moved closer to one year and a half:
The Clenched Scissors And The Clipped Letters
File 948 (February 10, 2016) – File 950 (February 24, 2016) → Episode 861 (June 3, 2017) – Episode 862 (June 10, 2017) ≈ one year, four months
Soul Detective Murder Case

Curse Of The Nue
File 958 (April 27, 2016) – File 962 (June 8, 2016) → Episode 872 (September 9, 2017) – Episode 874 (September 23, 2017) ≈ one year, four months
Kaitou Kid And The Luna Memoria

A Chance Meeting At The Beach
File 972 (September 14, 2016) – File 974 (September 28, 2016) → Episode 881 (November 18, 2017) – Episode 882 (November 25, 2017) ≈ one year, two months
Interchanged Betting Ticket Case

Murder Inside Café Poirot Case
File 981 (December 7, 2016) – File 983 (December 28, 2016) → Episode 885 (December 16, 2017) – Episode 886 (December 23, 2017) ≈ one year
Eri Kisaki Abduction Case
File 984 (January 18, 2017) – File 986 (February 1, 2017) → Episode 901 (May 12, 2018) – Episode 902 (May 19, 2018) ≈ one year, four months
I suppose that
Fitting Room Murder Case,
A Chance Meeting At The Beach and
Murder Inside Café Poirot Case stand out because of seasons. They wanted to cinematize the former two relatively early to avoid showing it during the winter, but also not wait until spring, and the latter probably only works in December anyway.
Assuming that there needs to be a gap of at least one year and four months, I could theoretically imagine
Burning Tent Murder Case coming respectively on June 17 and June 24 as its
Shounen Sunday release was between February 15, 2017 and March 1, 2017. Looking at the pattern that those responsible seem to be following since last summer, though, I doubt that we’ll see it before July because manga cases and anime originals have basically been taking turns on a monthly basis. January and March, for example, had nothing but adaptations, and even if
Eri Kisaki Abduction Case doesn’t have a companion this time, it keeps the two-month distance. Additionally, they’ve inserted yet another remaster, making me believe that they’re planning yet another two or three new fillers after that. In the end, the anime is still in the realm where new chapters used to be the rule and not an exception, so they’ll eventually have to distribute the good stuff even more if they want to spare us the mother of all hells. Let’s say they’re going to do just that and mechanically brought one adaptation every two months—they would reach
Black Bunny’s Club Case in July 2019, one year and three months later, and all those epic breaks wouldn’t have mattered. I’d definitely prefer that to earlier adaptations.
