A friend of mine sent me a link to this project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ig ... -the-night
It is a project of Kouji Igarashi who best known is from Castlevania games. And Inti Creates is pretty much know for many games, including for example Rockman Zero and Rockman ZX/A series.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
My dad’s a soldier blue I’ll be a soldier, too
When I grow older you will see me rescue you
I’ll teach you this old song so you can sing along
When I am dead and gone the day won’t be so long.
When I grow older you will see me rescue you
I’ll teach you this old song so you can sing along
When I am dead and gone the day won’t be so long.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
It's worth watching the video for it. It's pretty incredible.
I think my only worry with this project is that I was of the 3 people that didn't really love the last Castlevania he made (order of Ecclesia), so I hope it's less that and more like previous games in the series.

You didn't like OoE? What You didn't like in it in particular? Personally I didn't like in it that through half of the game I had to fight with a beginner knife.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Mostly I just felt like it was a weird compromise. It was trying to be difficult like old school Castlevania but didn't have the level design for it and was trying to be Metroidvania but killed the atmosphere and fun of having a huge connected place by having a level select world map thing (I had similar issues with the paintings in Portrait of Ruin). Quite frankly the areas weren't that interesting compared to most other Castelvanias either.Nemomon wrote:You didn't like OoE? What You didn't like in it in particular? If I want to play a needlessly difficult Metoidvania, that's what I have La Mulana for.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
I agree that it was kind of difficult. At least for me, because I didn't have any better weapon... but we did receive a big castle after all. Perhaps it was not as big as in the PoR or Castle A+B in HoD, but it wasn't small either. But I think the Glyphs system was quite interesting. Well... except the Dominus Agony.. that allowed us to kill Dracula within 5 seconds. In fact the cards system in the CotM (though hell annoing) and souls in the A/DoS was interesting too.kkslider5552000 wrote:Mostly I just felt like it was a weird compromise.
