Maybe she knows that Akai has sister, but she never met her, though I guess he just didn't talk about his family. I'm also curious in that mystery girl. I'm guessing, she's the mother of Akai, Sera and the middle brother. I also would find interesting, if she was Yukiko's sister.

if she was yukiko sister then why was sera surprised to find out that her middle brother knew conan. Surely if they were related she would know that her brother would recognise conan as shinichi since they would have seen each other as kids right?

Well, Sera had a lapsus, I don't remember which case now, asking confirmation to Ran about her mother's chest, while Ran thought "I don't even know her mum!"
So it's pretty much sure that Shin'ichi and Ran already met Sera's mother, at least, but they didn't meet Shuichi nor see his photo on that case. They should have met the second brother, maybe

I was thinking about the relationship between Vermouth and the boss
we know vermouth is American
We know she is related to the boss somehow, but not yet know is which side

I think I put an X on her being his wife, as for few have already discussed this matter about her and Gin sleeping together.
There is no way a husband would let his wife sleep with her coworkers, because that is just cheating on him, and he is simply the boss and your dead if you touch his property
the only think I can think of is that he either does not know about the relation between his wife and Gin , or he does not care, and he goes with anyone with anyone like animals do.

As for being a sister, a mother, or a cousin, being related to him means he has a foreigner side, either he is half Japanese and half american, or either he is completely a foreigner.
he could be half british half american, we never know an till Gosho gives us the information on a plate of gold, or maybe only clues like we always got.

To be fair, she could always have been adopted by someone from the Boss' family and thus end up not being related to him by blood at all. He (assuming it's a man) could also be her brother-in-law. Or yet again a childhood friend. I'm certainly not wishing that it's this way (rather begging it isn't), but with Aoyama, it's totally possible.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but anokata is gender-neutral, right? Was it ever stated that the Boss is male? Otherwise you'd have to explore on the female-side as well.

And maybe you can find some more insight in that thread where everyone is discussing about who the Boss may be. Haven't read it myself because I first want to come up with my own theory before comparing it to others, but if you already have one or want to read it anyway, it might be very useful.

I like the idea of him/her being British, btw. We know the FBI investigates because BO is active in the US and know that Vermouth operated there. We assume that Bourbon is working for the MI6 'cause of the zero stuff and the Q-reference, but assuming that we don't know how the MI6 got involved. It could be possible that they are in the game because the Boss has relations there.

Yes, Anokata is gender-neutral. It literally means "that person". The Boss can be male or female.

It's strange that Vermouth talks about her secrets to Bourbon. I mean, nobody except him know her link towards the Boss.
It would be interesting if Vermouth is anokata's wife, they had a child but he died and then the boss created the BO to rise him from the dead or something like that.
I hope he's not her childhood friend, it's the main antagonist of the series. So we need a developed relationship between Vermouth and the Boss.

I don't think she will be the wife or mother.
If it's mother that's assuming vermouth has been there longer than the boss and thats suspicious to those who see her frequently not only is she not ageing but is living longer than possible.
Vermouth is a frequent player, it would make more sense if the boss is someone who is an authority figure like, father or uncle or something.
The boss isn't someone who shows his face like vermouth so he's not someone people will be shocked if they realise he is not ageing as well, assuming of course he doesn't age like vermouth. Since he's lived this long.
I think ai said before that the BO has been in play for more than 50years or something like that right?

I really like the new chapter. And I don't think that it will be another couple of years until we get real plot movements. It's like this one sets a whole lot of things into motion. Jodie got suspicious of Shin-Conan-kun (Yukiko's as bad as Heiji, seriously) and Akai revealed to the DB that he's wearing a voice-change-collar. They may know Agasa created those, since they were even up to sale at one point, so they could get their mysteries-are-everywhere vibes and investigate him. Also, Conan said that Ran would be coming over soon, and who knows? Maybe she's bringing Masumi with her.

And is it just me or could it be that Vermouth doesn't know about Bourbon being a spy? Somehow this thought seems strange to me (Doesn't Vermouth know like... everything? Especially when they worked 'together' this often.), but their conversation could be interpreted that way. Surely she would try harder to dispose of someone flat out blackmailing her if she knew they were a spy? Also, she would have talked about three silver bullets if she knew.

Apart from Yukiko's and Akai's not-quite-mirror-image at the beginning (Cause it should be reverse, but isn't.), there's something else that I didn't quite understand:
I thought you had to have been part of the BO for some time to get a codename. However, Vermouth says about Scotch that he got killed before they even got his name. How's that possible?
And why was Amuro drawn with Japanese pupils on page 13 when he's got the foreigner pupils throughout the rest of the chapter (and the last couple of chapters in general)?

It's funny how Conan slips up about the auntie part, though, and how Yukiko only has to send out her vibes to make him realize. And we finally know where all the stew came from.
