Hmm. I don't think it was strictly necessary to add a new type to balance dragons, they could have done it by adding weaknesses to other types ect. But now that it's here I quite like it! It's added more utility to poison and steel types as well which is nice

I do think dragons might need to be super effective against one other type to balance now that they're not so resilient, but they usually have nice dual-types / coverage move pools so it's not so big a deal

Do you hate the fact that most fairy types are "girly" I personally find that statement ridiculous.

Naaaah I love Sylveon xD and Xerneas is bloody amazing. I'm not one to go around calling things 'girly' either

Sylveon is a badass. Who cares if he's covered in ribbons and is pink? XD

I'm not crazy about most of the fairies (Clefable, Granbull and Wigglytuff were never really my favorite pokemon anyway, and Aromatisse/Slurpuff are just weird), except for a handful, but I do like that they made poison and steel more useful.

I don't like that most of my favorites get destroyed by the fairies though.

I do like the concept of dragons gaining a big weakness, even if they still have the highest average of stats and can usually learn the most powerful moves in terms of strictly sheer power. Not my preferred type but a fairy can always be of help :D

let me guess fan of hydreigon?

Also do you think name fairy is appropriate for the type. I heard some fans complaining that it dose not fit and it should have been named "light" type.

Hydreigon, Absol, Umbreon, Zoroark, Flygon... :V

And I think Fairy type works better for pokemon than Light type does, tbh. I dunno, Fairy just seems more natural for a typing.

Momma yeah I can see that too. Light doesn't sound very pokemon-y now that I think about it...

I thought it hitting dark super effective was kinda unexpected, to be sure. I thought dark would be super effective on it to be honest xD

They already have that "weak light" as a Psychic type.

I think fairy type actually makes a lot of sense.

Fairys are strong against dark/Fighting/Dragon because Traditionally fairies are known to be a pure being who are strong against "dark monsters" ( think of many magical girl series)

Fairies are weak against steel because of "cold Iron belief" in folk-laws
Fairies are weak against poison because traditionally Faeries fared poorly against poison. ( fans of Artemis Fowl would know how Faeries fare poorly on radioactive poison.)

Also Fairy fits better to most of pokemon ( e.g Clefable family/Togekiss family ect.) and even moves reflect fairy. (e.g moonblast and moonlight.)

I actually agree wholeheartedly with you on this. Plus the group was already fairy in egg groups.

Edit: Added Fateakemi ^^

Being a big fan of fairy stories as a kid (the old kind of fairy stories, the ones with entrails), I really like that fairy types are a thing now. So what if a lot of them are really girly? There's nothing wrong with being girls. Girls are badass. We will kill your dragons with flowers and dance on your corpses.

(Not that I don't love dragons too. I'm just sick of people calling fairies "girly" like that's some kind of negative.)
