Watched Thor 2, came away unbelievably pleased at what they accomplished. Even though it was a sequel to a movie with an already high premise (gods fighting, plenty of non-Earth settings and politics), they still made it feel very human and played up all of the strengths that made the original such a good movie and made an even better one this time around. The interplay between Thor and Loki was especially great, and they somehow (in no small part due to Tom Hiddleston's delightfully and appropriately mendacious approach) have made Loki better and better with each and every appearance. I mean... he's a bad guy, but... he's our bad guy.

Better yet, the script somehow made all of the characters, even the pure earthlings, come off extremely well and warranted. The humor was obviously spot-on and never felt forced or out of place. You can tell everyone from the actors to the producers to the production crew down to the extras all had a hell of a good time making this movie.

Visually, though, I would say this is movie is an achievement in not just the Marvel canon but cinema as a whole. Every scene and every effect truly looked and felt real, even the far out Asgardian set pieces. They've upped the ante on every movie in this respect, and while Iron Man 3 had some really great-looking sequences, Thor 2 is a movie that feels like no shot went mishandled in the least (especially in that marvelous third act).

And, obviously:
Spoiler: Thor 2 Hype
That appearance. C'mon. C'monnnnn! That was just delicious, amazing, et al.
I was a little worried going into this that the movie would come off as one that wouldn't be able to be one that was especially accessible since, now that the origin story was out of the way, they would need to delve a little deeper into the mythos for the story beats. Luckily, the plot itself not only benefited from that, but the entire film actually somehow felt more audience-friendly than the first, even as a sequel.

In short, Marvel did literally everything right this time around and I have no gripes with how they handled it. As for the TV shows announced today: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yessssssssssssssssssssssss.

I AM SO UP FOR THE TV SHOWS. YAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS

Also I agree with everything JD- said. This movie was beautifully crafted. They just get better every time, I swear.

Literally the only gripe I have with the movie is my unending grief that the Thor franchise's relatively impressive roster of four well-written well-developed female characters has been struck down to three. I CRIED SO MUCH AT THAT SCENE AND THE FUNERAL I SWEAR TO ODIN.

I went to see Thor this afternoon, and it was great!
I don't want to write an essay to tell you all my feels, but everything went smoothly, and I wasn't put off by the blonde Zachary Levi (I thought it would look way worse!)

Just saw the movie. Loved it.

And that stinger... INFINITY STONES, YOU SAY?! (Does this mean Avengers 2 is going to start with half of the sentient population of the universe vanishing? Because that's kinda how Infinity Gauntlet plotlines tend to start.
Spoiler: Thor 2
Avengers 2 is Ultron, not Thanos, and likely not Infinity Gem related. Keep in mind, we have 2, MAYBE 3 if the staff Loki used had its own power rather than the Cosmic Cube's, gems revealed. We'll almost definitely get one in Guardians of the Galaxy, but then Avengers 2 is slated. That leaves 2-3 left to find, which is likely the lead-up to Avengers 3.

Also, I assume he's in an Odinsleep.
I think one of my favorite scenes was:

That was one of the funniest cameos I've ever seen XD
Spoiler:
The best part is that Tom Hiddleston did that as Loki and then Chris Evans imitated him... XDXD

Spoiler:
Implicitly, Loki killed him. You could suggest that Odin's in the Odinsleep somewhere--he did seem tired a lot during the movie, and in the first movie emotional stress exacerbated his exhaustion, and you can't beat your spouse's brutal murder and the potential death of all things for emotional stress--but Loki is being so Oedipal in this movie that I honestly wouldn't put it past him to have tricked and killed Odin.

Spoiler:
I wouldn't think he killed him. I think that why Loki faked his death, and then went disguised as a soldier to his father is to test if he truly loved him- after all, Frigga said he did- and once he revealed himself, Odin took too much emotional turmoil- and fell into Odinsleep.
... Unless, he did die. I remember at the beginning at Loki's sentencing, Odin said something like 'we don't live forever'. Goodness knows how old Odin is, and he was experiencing pain the whole time through out the movie, especially after Frigga's death. And, y'know, a lot of times when two people have had a deep bond and love (I'm guessing that Frigga and Odin had- I mean, she had to see something in him, right?) and one of them dies, the other dies a little after that. It's especially common with old couples, and I have heard a few cases of it... so, that thing that I referenced that Odin said may be foreshadowing. I wouldn't blame it if it was, I mean, the whole thing stunk of it.
Why? You never win the cursed war.

Aw God, that was TOO AWESOME to be true. If the movie is a fraction as gripping as it feels here.........

As it has been a while since i was here, lets get right back on track. Me Grimlock happy to be back.
The Wolverine : Meh. An Okay film, but they could have done a LOT better. Did anyone else watch it?? Hopefully, X-Men DOFP will contain the greatness of X-Men First Class and X-Men 2.
The Netflix series' : Hmmmmm, i dont know what to think. It could be GREAT or not-so-great, but i am pretty sure what to expect in plot form. Daredevil - Bendis Era or Waid Era Daredevil FOR SURE. Jessica Jones - Bendis' Alias. Luke Cage - MAX miniseries (2002) and Iron Fist - Fraction/Aja Immortal Era. Google these up if ya dont know n wanna know. They all fit the scale and the theme (New York-based Eras). Also, i think the miniseries would have more appropriately named Heroes-For-Hire if it features these characters (Marvel isnt clear on it, but i dont think the orignal Defenders can be done right on the small screen and Cullen Bunn's Fearless Era Defenders are.... NO Just NO).
Cap Trailer: Taking a better, yet often-tread, direction this time. Trailer was nice. Cap was in his less-iconic Black Ops outfit and Falcon in his ultimate one. They also have picked up nice actors for Dell Rusk and the Winter Solider, who was COOL in the trailer. I liked the cinematography and the scale, as well as continuity in the form of Nick and BW. Major Plot Twist comment :
Spoiler:
Dell Rusk being Red Skull is the one twist that might elude people not having read the Geoff Johns' Era, but the anagram thingy makes it easier. Most people will probably know that Winter Solider = Bucky Barnes though, as it is no mystery now-a-days and people tend to search "Winter Solider", "Malekith" etc. whenever they know the villain.
EDIT 1: X-Men Apocalypse for 2016........................ YAY!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! YAY!!!
I am a geek~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a flirt!
I love mysteries!
I love comics~

Is Harry Osborne supposed to look like Emo Peter from Spiderman 3...?

But the movie looks good, in general. I'm looking forwardto Winter Soldier as well. If they're not going to give us a damn Black Widow movie despite the fact that it would obviously be amazing, at the very least I hope they take this massive window of opportunity for Black Widow backstory and development.
