The thread where you tell about your dreams

had a dream where I was in a supermarket with my dad and a few other peopel and was super hungry. We get to the register and there's this table with cheese crackers on it (like, crackers with cheese, not cheese crackers) and I just think "oh god finally!" and take a pack and open it and eat a few. We get to the register and the girl at the register and the girl makes a sarcastic remark along the lines of "yeah I love eating things without paying for them too!" and I'm like "oh sh-, sorry, haha, how much is it?", to which she says it's $4.97 (which I think is entirely overpriced for one thing of six crackers) and I tell her to hold on (still with a mouthful of cracker). I get my wallet and open it up, but realize that all my money is blank, just rectangles without the green ink, and I just think "well this is awkward", and have to get my dad (who was already leaving the store, the jerk D:) to pay for it. I was certain that the money was actually still normal money, but for some reason I wasn't able to see the ink on the bills, and I didn't end up wanting to pay $20 for a $5 item (I guess in my dreams I don't get the concept of getting change back).

There was also a portion where I was in some post-apocalyptic world in a fallout shelter, and there were these really weird stick bug/grasshopper hybrids in there that were really fast and annoying. I tried to catch one, because I knew once they started breeding they became pests, but then I saw an even bigger one surrounded by a ton of little baby ones and realized it was futile. Other stuff also happened but I don't remember it that well.

There was also a portion where I was in some post-apocalyptic world in a fallout shelter, and there were these really weird stick bug/grasshopper hybrids in there that were really fast and annoying. I tried to catch one, because I knew once they started breeding they became pests, but then I saw an even bigger one surrounded by a ton of little baby ones and realized it was futile. Other stuff also happened but I don't remember it that well.

So you just gave up?  Way to doom the human race.  Jerk.

whoa, whoa. They were pests that already existed in the outside world, so they wouldn't have been an issue, they were just an issue for the fallout shelter I was in and the supplies inside. There was other world-ending stuff that I started off to go fight later on in the dream I believe (at the very least some sort of secret society), but the bugs were just pests, not world-devouring machines.

Oh, I was imagining like... House sized grasshopper mutants.  And when you said catch, I imagined jumping on its back like a bull.

I was in a restaurant/bar type area, and Benjamin Franklin was there. I started talking to him, and it turned out he was there due to some sort of timetravel shenaniganry, but that he hated his life and wanted to die. To that end, he wanted me to kill him, because apparently I had some sort of superpower I didn't know about. He then had me use it to teleport us to this grey landscape with lightning and mountains in the distance, where he looked like Kratos from God of War (but was still actually Benjamin Franklin). We fought and I defeated him, and I asked "wait, if I kill you, won't that erase you from the timeline and make some sort of paradox?" and he told me it wouldn't happen, so I killed him.

Once I did, I automatically teleported back to the restaurant and yelled "oh my god... oh my god, I just killed Benjamin Franklin!" and everyone looked at me like I was crazy, until one person went "...who's that?". Then I looked at the chair he was sitting at, and it was empty (I thought his body would teleport back as well), and I realized that Franklin is a dirty liar and lied to me when he said it wouldn't erase him from the timeline and create a paradox. There were also a few dreams involving super long journeys but I don't remember much about them. They were dark and dreary and the person I was traveling with complained that we wouldn't have time because I decided we'd set out a day later than planned. I think dragons of the nasty variety were involved somehow.

Probably the second-most well known historical figure from colonial times here in the US.

In my dream I had died. It wasn't that bad, seemed like my business would continue like usual. Though I did have to tell my friends and family I had died and that was awful. I was so sad, I cried and cried and then I woke up and couldn't stop crying for a real long time. I know it makes no sense and sounds hilarious but it was awful.

It started off with me being a kid again, and part of some soccer club. There was a vote held as to which one player would represent the team at some thing, and everyone unanimously voted me, aside from one kid, who himself wanted to be the guy voted. (Keep in mind I have never been any good at soccer, nor tried :V)

Fast forward to present day, I'm in a subway station/shopping mall hybrid. A kid has apparently gone missing, suspected kidnapped, and police are scouring the area for clues, when a bystander finds the kid (it turns out to be the kid who wanted to be the soccer guy, who hasn't aged for some reason), hanging precariously over a 1-story concrete drop onto his head. I help the police save the kid, and everyone's thankful. As they're taking the kid from the scene, I hear the kid mumble something about "Takeaway Jake", and mention it to one of the officers. He just looks at me confused though and seems to forget who I am, and gets angry that I'm even in the crime scene. Another cop comes over and asks me what the problem is, and I explain it, but as soon as I mention Takeaway Jake, the same thing happens to him and I end up getting chased out. I realize that apparently, if anyone ever hears "Takeaway Jake", they forget who the person who said it is, and whatever they were talking about. Then I apparently become a fugitive as people forget me and the police want to arrest the troublemaker.

Then the dream jumped forward in time, where I'm in a factory along with a partner I'd picked up along the way. We had found out that there was a string of kidnappings that had went oddly uninvestigated and were probably the work of Takeaway Jake, and that this factory was his hideout, as he was experimenting with transferring human consciousness to robot bodies. We found a robot like this, who refused to believe us when we told it, and it jumped onto a jetski to ski down a ridiculously long metal hill in the factory (to warn Takeaway Jake of intruders), so we got in a jetski race. During the race I managed to get it to realize it was a human in a robot body, and they managed to remember who they were. It mentioned that at bottom of the hill, there was a map of the network, and to meet it there.

We get to the map of the network, and the robot says that it's going to download into the net, and that once it does, we need to download ourselves in and retrieve it, presumably this would return its mind back to its old body (which was being stored somewhere). So the robot downloads (we see a box labeled "Dylon" appear on the map, which was its name I guess), and I say I'll go into the network and for my buddy to keep watch. But he refuses and says he'll go in, because I needed to be the one watching for the big guy (presumably I was the only person who was completely immune to the Takeaway Jake mind-wipe stuff, he still forgot a bit). But then we hear a voice mention that it's too bad, because he's already here, as a bunch of liquid is splashed onto the map. We turn around and see Takeaway there with a few cronies, who are holding barrels of paint thinner, and I look back at the map and realize it's been completely dissolved. Takeaway mentions that without the map, we won't be able to remember the layout enough to find the robot, which was really too bad. I forget how that situation got resolved, but I remember thinking it was BS because Dylon was really close to the closest network entry point and I totally remembered how to get there.

Somehow though, the situation did get resolved, because the dream ended with me and a bunch of other people having a celebration in the factory after Jake's defeat. Someone mentions how great it is to be human again and everyone cheers to that, but then one guy pipes up and mentions that he's not human. We tell him to stop joking around because he's clearly human, but he reveals that he's actually a robot consciousness transferred into a fabricated human body, the last great project before we offed the bad guy (this wasn't an issue though, because none of TJ's creations were malicious, they were just normal people, if a little brainwashed). Then the dream ended. Also, the robot-human at the end was clearly an actor I knew from somewhere, but I didn't realize until just now that he was the actor who played Dr Cox on Scrubs. I was being thrown off because he had the voice of John Cleese.


I also think the kid who almost got kidnapped/didn't get picked was somehow supposed to be related to Takeaway Jake, but iunno how.

I had the weirdest dream last night.
Background information: I finished playing Virtue's Last Reward last night. Took a Vicodin before bed for my back. Was in bed by 12:16 AM sharp.

I was Sigma (the main character in the game). So I played the Nonary game like I was supposed to, but things quickly turned bad. You know, people died and stuff. Then I discovered a bunch of secret endings and kept playing and could not win. I got stuck in the building foreverrrrr.

I don't know why, but it was really vivid and scary. I know I woke up at least 5 times in the middle of the night, then went back to sleep to the same dream again.



Moral lesson: You all should play 999 and VLR.

I just remembered, I had a dream about wearing my retainer and it not fitting quite right

I haven't even needed it in years, I'm surprised I still get dreams about it :V

Quick back story: So, I'm still feeling tired, and I decide to stay in bed because I only have lab at 9 so I have to leave at 8:30. As I'm thinking about college, I fall asleep, and this happens;

I'm sitting on a stool next to a lab table waiting for my professor to come in. When  he does, and I notice that my friend's not there. I start thinking that she ditched me again I look behind me and a couple friends from high school are sitting at the other lab table. I start thinking I could group with them, so as I'm about to ask, my Chem. professor who is now my psychology professor for some reason, tells us to form groups of up to four people. I turn back to where my friends were, but they're gone, and everyone else is teamed up, so I decide to work alone.

My "work" is slow and confusing. The hallway, it's dimly lit, and I'm wondering what progress they're making. The room has turned into a cafe lounge with the lights dimmed and couches and tables everywhere. There's a TV in a corner, and music's playing. All of a sudden, to my left, I hear "Kimi ga Ireba" and I hum a long and think "Wow, other people know Conan." when the song ends, I look over and see the ones who were playing it, but I don't remember what they look like

To my right, "We are Young" by FUN. is playing and this girl walks in humming it. During this time, I'm trying to check my answers on the lab (it's a dry lab), and it's taking forever. My professor comes over and asks me if I've finished because I look like I'm not doing anything. I, of course, say yes, but I'm checking my answers. She asks to see my paper, but gets distracted by a student who asks her a question. I decide to get out of there, and fast. I ride on something that takes me down to the first floor and I'm about to go down the stairs to the ground floor. It's been turned into a parking lot...?

Anyway, I realize that I left my book bag in the room. So I have to go back up. On my way up I drop a quarter, and a couple girls find it and tell me. But instead of returning it, they unwrap it. Yes, it's a chocolate coin. Now I'm more upset over not being able to eat the coin than actually losing it.

The next thing I know, I'm in the Jetta (not my usual car) going home. I'm sitting on the left side, but soon I realizing that I wasn't controlling the car because the wheel was on the right side. O_O

I move over and gain control, but I'm lost. I have no clue where I am. So I drive around for a bit until I crash into a plot of land that's used for growing collard greens, which was right next to my grandma's house. And I mean the grandma in Portugal.

That's when I knew I was dreaming so I told myself to wake up because I couldn't take anymore craziness. :V

I had a dream where I was the lead scientist in an experiment to use a specialized radioactive core to blow up some dude's body to open a door to a demon realm (we were also all sitting like, 30 feet from the explosion, with no noticable consequences even though I thought "this is probly a bad idea to sit this close" to myself). We all received a lot of money, but since we were in a somewhat small industrial town, the money ended up ruining the economy of the place, not to mention that everyone was understandably upset with us.

Then eventually the demons came across and they ended up eating me alive a few times and I was just like "man, this sucks"

I don't remember the actual dream, only that the people in it wished me a good morning. Then I woke up.

My dreams from the past few days were all about Dragon Ball. I have no idea why but it's always like that. I wasn't included in it and I was only given a 3rd person view of it.

The only scene I remember is when Chichi got very angry at something and beats up Goku and Vegeta simultaneously.
