I didn't realize that the one who praised my work was actually the one who made all those awesome works! can't believe how silly I am
I'm so lucky then! lurrrrve the <baby akai3 would be totally great if you don't mind teaching me how to do your coloring technique....

Re: Moldy scribbling
Huh, what awesome works? Don't see any here XD
I could "teach" you, tho most of my works change in style (hurrr xD) and I try out a lot of tutorials :V
Well, I use Sai, I think you did too, right? XD
I love to use the stabilizer: ~10 for sketches and rough coloring and S-3 for the lines and more accurate drawing/details. Since the higher or with S, the smoother the lines will be. You can grab a cup of coffee while doing a line on S-3 XD
Varying the thickness of the outlines is nice too XD
Well, first you put on the base-colors. I use the mid color for those.
When choosing a color for the shade, I copy the base-color, go a bit down right on he color-square but also go down a bit on the color-circle.
So if I have red, I move the color a bit towards purple-blue D:
Same for the lightning/light, just the opposite. I go up and left. And move to color to the upper colors.
So if I have the base red again, I'd move the color a bit to orange-yellow D:
Read that in a tutorial XD This way the colors don't look so flat :V
Then you always need to know where your light sources are and put the shadows according to it. Reflections are nice too. Like, when you have a red cloth, the skin could have some reddish reflections on it. Tho it depends on your style how much you do that :V
Then, there is cell -shading or theothertypeofshadingwhichnameiforgot-shading.
Cell-shadin is the way the animes are. If there is more blur and blending and stuff, then it's more the other version.
I suck at cell-shading, I always want to blur it and stuff XD
Before putting the shadows, I sometimes put some gradient on my base-color :V
With the airbrush, I put some part darker and make the other part lighter. You can leave that out tho. I did that with Chibi Gin or PT.
Then I put in the shadows. Some people use the lasso-tool but I just use the pen + eraser XD
For the shadows, falling shadows are usually sharp. Like the shadow hair creates on the skin. Or cloth on skin. But the farther away the cloth is, the blurrier it'll get.
Then there are "object" shadows. Like the leg, if you don't use cell-shading, it'll be blurry and have a gradient. It won't have a sharp edge. It depends tho, if you want to show muscles, there will be a combination of blur to sharpness.
Then I also light it a bit. I make the part where the light shines on it a bit lighter with an airbrush usually.
Then I also like to put in an extra shine, like on the lips. I use the marker for that, it shouldn't be as blurry as the airbrush, but not as sharp as the normal pen-tool. I'm not sure myself if that shine always fits or not XD But on the lips it looks quite good haha XD
Oh, some people also like to color the outline, so it's not pure black :V
Hmmm... hope that helped XD
And now, here is awesome Vodka!
