It's a good thing Heiji didn't get the confession.
HeiKazu fans always say that Heiji just hasn't realized his feelings until now, but there's a possibility that Heiji doesn't feel that way to Kazuha, considering there's many HeiShin hints.
So, it's better to wait for Heiji's realization first and then the confession.
It'll be awkward for Heiji if he suddenly get a confession from Kazuha when he's still confused with his feelings.
Spoiler:
but after waiting for years, I suppose no one want to wait until Heiji realize his feelings
The HeiShin hints are just there for fanservice purposes to appeal to the boy-love otaku. The BL market is huge in Japan, and in fact some of the most successful pairings among the fans include KaitoxShinichi and HeijixShinichi. However, despite this BL trend, I have no doubt that, in the end, all the pairings will end up like expected : HeijixKazuha, ShinichixRan...
Maybe that's why Heiji and Kazuha won't become couple until the end of the series even if there's nothing in their way to become a couple.
And someone said that Kazuha jealous of Conan-kun in the latest chapter. Gosho really into this fanservice.
Exactly. Basically, all the options remain available even if the canon pairing is the most obvious one.
It could be Gosho, or it could also be his editors asking him to put in some BL fanservice.
"I wonder if there really is a God...
If such an entity really existed, wouldn't all honest, hard-working people be happy?"
Yeah... That DOES make sense. Lets hope Conan manages to get Hattori to realize his feelings ~nya. Because if we leave those two alone, we'll get the same thing as OVA 9. Still shouting at eachother and Heiji oblivious to his feelings.
~nya!
"Oh, don't give me that! None of you are saints, some of you are just good at hiding your sins!" - Our grade school teacher ~nya... She REALLY believed in our innocence didn't she
The resident DCTP mother kitty ~nya!
I'm glad that at the very least Gosho didn't just have either party wuss out of the confrontation, and instead just made it fail because Heiji ran off to get gossip out of Conan.
You know, there's a lot of boys IRL who really don't want to shake the boat, want to stick to the status quo, etc, even if they're madly in love with their friend. I can see him doing this to completely avoid the situation given that he's 17 and has never been on a date. That said, things really seem to be starting to come together in the series as a whole. That was a HUGE step for Kazuha, and I disagree that she won't confess again; it should be easier now. Maybe Ran will help bring about the situation in a way where he can't run...?
He's one of my fav chars, but I still want to strangle him over this.
It's not a complete letdown, technically neither side of Kazuha and Ran's "deal" has been fulfilled. Now that the pact has been made verbally the confrontation is inevitable. I mean, it was always inevitable but now we can look forward to a more immediate resolution to the longstanding romantic tension
Frankly, I'm more concerned with Ran's side of the bargain, although Kazuha's is certainly entertaining
Best case scenario, Heiji actually comes to a realization and beats Kazuha to the punch...just picturing her reaction makes me laugh

Though of course, Kazuha doesn't know that :V
She can probably guess. Conan was obviously in London too, so she likely thinks Heiji went to get more info so he can tease Kudo later.

I don't think she can guess. (Kind of hopes that she doesn't)
Does she even know Conan was in London? I don't think it's that obvious... Kogoro and Ran go places ALL the time without Conan. XD

No they don't.
I seem to remember them going places without him- thus some DB episodes.

Maybe Kazuha should get drunk. And in Detective Conan, every drunk person is confessing something, and there is always someone that is actually staying and listening!

LOL XD
Spoiler:
Then Heiji would bring Kazuha back home and... JK!

But knowing Gosho, if they DID get drunk and confess... they'd be blackout drunk- or at least be too drunk to remember anything the next morning.
