Scott Pilgrim Thread (Epic of Epic Epicness!)

Post by JohnTitor »

Wut? No SP thread? It's like, the best cult movie of all-time. Especially for nerds. Especially for nerds who play in a band. Especially for nerds who play in a band and would fight seven evil exes to get the girl of his dream. Which is kinda like me all along I mean, c'mon! It's like, the greatest movie ever.

I wasn't the only one who say that. It's full of epic scenes! Behold, The original comic books are even more epic. But you gotta search yourself in Google this time.  :P

I'm just sayin' it has a woman character who shares uncanny resemblance with Haibara. Though it's not actually important.

Hmm I've been told I need to see this movie, but I haven't had a chance.  Perhaps I should rent it or something.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

I totally recommend it. The Blu-Ray is out, too.  ;)

EPIC CINEMATOG.

Should've watched it before I filmed/directed fight scenes for this school production.

The fight scene with Lucas Lee just bring it to the whole new level.

And of course, BASS BATTLE!

Seriously, I think every nerd-musician who watches that scene will be tooootally funked!

I <3 <3 <3 this movie/comic book franchise.

Though, you know what I didn't like about the movie? It didn't have Joseph in it And Joseph is a must.
Why? You never win the cursed war.

It also could have used more Gideon (cat) and Model.

Next: Best track from the game and best from the movie?

Game - Mathew Patel Fight
Movie - I Am So Sad So Very Very Sad

Read the entire series a month ago and enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I felt the movie had a lot less closure towards the end than the comics, but I still enjoyed it, especially how closely it kept to making the film itself seem like the comic book with the visual effects; it's damn colorful and pleasing to look at, too.  I did feel like Michael Cera barely pulled off Scott, mainly because he doesn't really bring out Scott's hyperactive/childlike side very well, but he had his moments; I have mixed feelings on that performance.  I love the guy who played Wallace though; he was absolutely perfect in the role.
