By the way, has anyone seen a musical that has a line in a song that's "you were Einstien at the blackboard, now you're Alice in the looking glass"? I went to what was apparently an original play my sister's high school put on, but I swear I'd heard that song before...

By the way, I doubt that the King's Theatre Pantos technically qualify as musicals, despite the occasional tendancy of certain characters (especially whoever's being played by Dame Allan Stewart or Grant Stott) to burst into song, but I do love the finale to EVERY show, which is always, always, ALWAYS "Rockin' All Over The World"- and they're not afraid to go down into the audience and get people up and dancing if they're still in their seats ;)

Wicked
Song: Defying Gravity
Scene: her singing Defying Gravity. The whole song and scene is so inspiring, and sends chills down my spine. (in a good way) I hope to see this again one day.

Hairspary

I love that song. Although the musical Wicked is not in my top 2, the song Defying Gravity is one of my favorite musical songs ;D. I love the message of the song, and when the actress hit all the high notes. I don't know why but I have this affinity for songs with high notes...lol

I'm adding Avenue Q to my favourites. I haven't actually seen it, but Ruqiyah had the soundtrack on her iPod and we listened to it repeatedly. It is SO GOOD. My favourite is "Only For Now".
