It's the best arc after all. 8-)
I actually really like how they've recently continued the more serious stuff and character development (especially Nagi) without losing the series' awesome sense of humor. Mainly because it would have become exactly what it was a parody of if it stayed that way.

Sorry, but Nagi's recent arc was pretty horrible.  I enjoy character development, but you shouldn't have to remove every other popular character from sight for 2-3 months in order to accomplish that.

Unless you consider Chiharu a popular character, every popular character was removed.  Maria was a nonfactor, she was in maybe one page per chapter at most.  Obviously Hayate will be there, he's the titular character.

But Hina, Athena, Isumi, Izumi, Miki, Rika, Ayumu, and Sakuya were nowhere to be seen in a capacity that meant anything for quite a few months.

You might be right, but I don't remember that. Or at least not to the degree you're talking about.

I wouldn't have a problem with it either way because Nagi desperately needed a lot of focus on her character more than anyone as outside of near the climax of the Athena arc, I can't remember the last time she had any character development. And where there was it was often ignored for the sake of humor, even by this manga's standards (which may or may not be a good thing). And we needed to remember certain characters that just dissappeared.

BTW: The fact that I can't remember who Miki or Rika are from the top of my head might be a bad sign.

Nagi's character arc started in Chapter 268.  Other important characters just now started appearing again in chapter 300.  That's 32 chapters.  That means her arc started in the beginning of April, and we just got the fan-favorite secondary characters again in December.  That's way too long.

Also, my bad, I think it's Risa not Rika.

Considering, how those characters appeared all the f*cking time, will appear all the f*cking time later and I didn't remember that even happening, there was a point to it, reminded us of some secondary characters who had seemingly vanished and the chapters were still entertaining and didn't feel like any other characters were needed for any possible reason. Next time try actual complaints instead of some random stated facts.  :-*

Okay, your opinions are bad and you should feel bad.  How's that for an actual complaint?

Putting the movie aside, I'm more interesting in the third season of anime, with A-tan finally appearing formally on screen so she can participate in ISML as well...
Anyways, also wondering if anyone here besides Ginrei is still reading HnG? If you do, you must've noticed something lately right...? ;)

Oh yeah that.
Spoiler:
A popular, newer love interest who has turned into a little kid and is largely responsible for bringing in a consistent plot. Where have I heard that before?
