...maybe coz I was reading a lot of manga that time...

As far as I can remember, Hayate has no money so he tried to hostage a girl (forgot the name) but the girl misinterpreted it and thought that Hayate likes her, something like that.

It's somewhat a Harem (one boy & lots of girls) type; not really outstanding but not boring.
This manga's an OK for me, I guess.

(i remember another DC referencing at Yakitate; not like it's related though)

It started somewhat slow, but it's gotten amazing since then.  If you haven't read Hinagiku's birthday arc, the Hot Springs arc, White Day, The End of the World, what I'm calling "Rescue Izumi" (since I don't think it has an official monicker), and the current trip to Greece... you're missing out.
