He makes a very valid point, Yuriko. My 9th grade English teacher would murder you if she saw that.
Then again, my 9th grade English teacher was kind of.... well. Strange. Commi can back me up on this.

Mafia: The only place where you can find Gin and Akai married together with 8 kids all disguised as Akai. Or something epic like that.

@PT: Reminds me of my English Teacher 7th-10th grade.
He used to kick benches around the room when someone pronounced country as cow-ntry.

I memorized 3 of his plays. Mainly for acting. Though Romeo and Juliet seems the one I remember most.Dus wrote:You've memorized all of Shakespeare?Yurikochan wrote:I have and memorized it. True, I forgot. I had a very minor part in A Midsummernight's Dream, and I don't even remember my two lines.xpon wrote:@dus.Yurikochan wrote:I memorized 3 of his plays. Mainly for acting. o.O; Okay, kicking things is a bit much, but I can't even think of pronouncing country that way, either, so.Dus wrote: @PT: Reminds me of my English Teacher 7th-10th grade.

Not that I would know anything about paranoia, of course. *triple checks to make sure I haven't inadvertently slipped my role into that one sentence*

He was a bit mental, yeah. My favourite English teacher as well.PhoenixTears wrote:o.O; Okay, kicking things is a bit much, but I can't even think of pronouncing country that way, either, so.Dus wrote: @PT: Reminds me of my English Teacher 7th-10th grade.

And at that time, they ran an ad for Kinder Country (dunno whether that's sold in the US) where they pronounced it exactly like that.
It's not THAT much of a stretch, since county is essentially pronounced like that.

Two things:
That English teacher PT mentioned was indeed off her rocker.
Also,
That English teacher PT mentioned was indeed off her rocker.
Also,
doesn't mean what you think it does. "Wherefore" actually is more like "Why" as opposed to "Where". It's crazy, but that's the way it is.Yurikochan wrote: Wherefore art thou, Ayentsuhiko?

Well, technically Romeo and Juliet was 8th grade for me, but it was my 9th grade teacher that was crazy about Shakespeare. I think I listened to Act I of Julius Caesar like 12 times. (Yes, listened to. She wouldn't let us read the lines ourselves because she was afraid we would mangle the speech patterns or something. I dunno, didn't spend a whole lot of time listening when she spoke. Unless she was telling us about the time she burned down her house as a kid.)
I knew that actually, I was just bored and thinking it, and yeah, the question is why are there DBs.Commi-Ninja wrote:doesn't mean what you think it does. Okay, well, just wanted to clarify that, as it's a common misconception.

Its cool, I shouldn't have used it there, but like I said, it was the first thing that popped into my mind. I was actually using the question Where, then decided to just write it. My English teacher would be upset too.Commi-Ninja wrote: Okay, well, just wanted to clarify that, as it's a common misconception.![]()
