Why do you ask? ???
Guessing, because the grass-starters final evolution looks like that, although imo it looks more like a Seviper breed.
The last evolution does kind of look like Dragonair, yes.. *checked*
While the second looks like... uh... *senile*

Anyway.... I think that the new water starter looks like a modified Piplup...
And to tell the truth Piplup looks cuter... And I don't even like Piplup... I think it looks scary D:

I'm really interested in the ice cream pokemon. Cute and not cute. XD.
And what's with #591!?

I love the ice types there:D.
And I still can't stop laughing over Gear, Gigear, and Gigigear.

I'm not impressed with this new gen of Pokemon. I thought a bunch of them were pretty ugly last gen, but I don't think there's more than 5 on that list that I can look at without giggling like a crazy woman.

I can understand. I haven't really gotten over how wierd some of them are. Especially Gear and it's evolution. :|

At least there's more Fire pokemon than just the starter and a legendary.  Though the only ones that look to have any competitive potential are the ghost/fire chandelier and the fire donkey kong.

Also, I hear there's a lot of changes to old Pokemon too.  For example: Rotom formes lose their ghost typing and gain their element typing (example: Washer becomes Electric/Water, Heater becomes Electric/Fire, etc).

The type combinations seem to be a lot different than previous generations, which is a nice change. I was hoping for more type combos this generation anyway. And the ghost/fire chandelier thing looks kind of cool, despite making me somewhat skeptical of it's strength. And I'm definitely interested in the dragon/electric one, though.

Skeptical of its strength?  It has 145 base special attack!  That's only 5 less than Palkia, Kyogre, Dialga, and Deoxys!  While 80 speed isn't that great, it's not that horrible either.  Depending on its movepool, it could be quite a beast.  And at least it has a good ability, unlike my poor Charizard.

Well, to be fair, I haven't actually looked at any of the stats yet, just the pictures, so. ^^; Maybe I should've done that first.

Sorry, I'm multi-tasking right now, there's only so much I can pay attention to. :P And pictures > numbers until I have the time/patience to look over them.

Pfft, then add another task to your multi-task list!

Also, looking at the level-up moves for some of the Pokemon (not the most organized list, so only looking up a few specific Pokemon), it seems the Chandelier will evolve into its final stage via a stone.  Once it evolves, it doesn't learn any new moves (just like the majority of other stone evolutions).  Depending on what some of the new moves are, it could end up amazing or horrible.  Its selection of older moves is pretty bad, just Shadow Ball and Overheat are any good.  Maybe it'll have good TM usage.

Hihidaruma (or fire donkey kong) looks really good.  A lot of moves with negative effects, but the rumored effect of the "Encourage" ability is that it removes those negative effects.

No way! Then I'll start forgetting about the more important stuff!

Overheat and Shadow Ball are good, but if that's all it's got that's worth anything, it probably won't be that much of an asset to the team. Though, I'll reserve judgment until I can look at it's TM moves.

That "Encourage" ability sounds interesting, if that's actually what it does.

Some of the new Pokemon look seriously weird, but some look kinda cool. I think Pokabu is the cutest thing, which is a good thing since I always choose the fire starter (FIRE!  >:D ) but it gets pretty weirdass by its final evolution. By contrast, Mijumaru, which looks kinda retarded, is actually looking kinda badass in its final form. I also like the look of Shimama and Zeburaika, the evil electric zebras  :D Baffuron looks awesome too. I mean, it's a bull with and AFRO! XD Ishizumai's really cute too, and looks like it might be a real animal, which is what I liked about a lot of the generation I and some of the generation II 'mons. I mean, you can imagine what a Charmander would look like real, right? But try that with Mijumaru...

Pokabu is kind of cute, I guess. But I'll probably go against my normal Fire-starter trend and pick the Grass one this time because 1) I'm so tired of Fire/Fighting starters (this is the third one!), and 2) the evolutions are just plain weird. The electric zebras look kind of cool in a really strange, ugly way.

I'm wondering about Yanappu/Yanakki, Boappu/Boakki, Hiyappu/Hiyakki though. Three pokemon, identical in stats, similar in appearance and the only real difference is the type? What's that about?

I think Purotooga is one of the few I would call genuinely cute in this group. Along with Chillarmy and Emonga (omg! it's an electric flying squirrel!)
