There was this one anime with a cooking contest. A character shapeshifted into Conan and bragged a lot. He wanted another character to say "Conan has a big ego," because that sounds like something related to food.

I remember this one, but I can't find the clip again on youtube.
In the meantime, have a DC reference from Pandora Hearts. It's more subtle than most, but it's from Special #1 and the sequence wall called Meitantei Break.
