If they started to crush on each other as kids, then it's possible for their love to have grown overtime.
So either relationship COULD be possible in real life. You don't know.

My point was that Shinichi+Ran is still possible, even in real life.

I'm being necessarily technical. Since I'm trying to say that Shinichi+Ran is realistic in the Anime, and still possible in real life. While Ai+Conan is probably unrealistic in the Anime, but still possible in real life.
