Legit points, but really I think the point should be "don't get married until you're ready, it doesn't have to be before a certain date and it doesn't have to be after". My parents were married and had me before age 30 and they're still in a perfectly happy marriage and the careers they want. Two of my friends from university just celebrated their first anniversary of marriage--they're 22 and have never been happier. My cousin got married and had a little boy at age 35, and they're perfectly happy with that. Basically, whenever you and the person you love are ready to get married and want to get married, then get married. You don't have to be married by a certain age, so don't get married for the sake of it.

At 22 they don't really have that much to compare to though. At best they have 3 years of comparison, since you can't really compare pre-high school graduation to post-high school graduation.

I found the article a bit bland, nothing really inspiring there. Marrying when you feel the moment is right should be common sense, but then I don't seem to have the kind of pressure that Chinese women seem to have!
I have a few friends who are settled, or about to be settled in their early twenties, and I'm having a hard time understanding them. I mean, really, don't they want to see a little bit more of the world before settling somewhere and pop up a couple of kids?

I was thinking the same thing, also it's harder to get pregnant when you're older.

Me and my boyfriend have been together since age 15 and we're now 25. Some people think it's crazy that we've been togehter for such a long time since we're so young, but really, if it's working well and you're in love, why throw it away?
My opinion is, as long as you're happy - Go for it! As long as you feel happy and sure about what you do, then it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks.
However, I do think it's a bit early to start with kids and stuff if you don't have a steady income and such..

That's when you're in your 50s and up, not 30s.

There aren't too many people having kids in their 50s. The risk of Down's Syndrome is correlated with age quite closely- it's much more likely in 30 year olds than 20 year olds, it's just that it's still quite rare among 30 year old. Once a mother gets into her late 30s the chance it becomes a non-trivial issue.

Furthermore, similar issues exist for men, they just don't get as much coverage.
