As much as I love nostalgia, I must go with the third option.

The only real difference I can think of regarding my home country is that Hebrew dubs were done better 20 years ago.

Last option. I rarely watch TV anymore so I haven't seen many of the latest kiddy shows.

second option. While I haven't seen many recently and I know that the writing of the shows is probably just the same as it was back then, the animation of a lot of kids' shows nowadays is just boring flash-based stuff, which is lame.

I don't watch much TV these days so I have no real comment, although I did watch some of the Powerpuff Girls reboot and I have to say that, compared to the original...

I'm really not sure how to answer this one. I don't watch any children's shows regularly these days, but from what I've seen... there seems to be a tendency to skew toward an older audience now. They seem, to me at least, to be directed at working for older children as well as adults that continue to watch cartoons that are similar or even based on the same source material as other properties they once liked. I rarely see or hear of anything that seems very kid-specific.

I really don't know if they're better or worse or they're being produced for a wider audience now or what.

I also agree with the second one. There's a few gems now, but there used to be a ton of good shows.

I never really watched many kid shows as a child (I never watched much TV in my life, always less than an hour per week), just two, and they are still around and probably just as good as they were back then (seeing as they were already decades old when I was a child and all). I haven't watched those two recently, though (apparently one had the main moderator replaced D:), however, the kids shows I have seen have been quite awesome.
So, my reply would be "I didn't watch enough kid shows as a child to make a comparison"

"X was better in my day" is so often false. I didn't watch many cartoons when I was a kid, but when I did watch them they seemed pretty bad, so I'd guess it's a draw.

That guy who makes Dexter's Lab, powerpuff girls, etc is really talented.

I'm a nostalgiafag so I voted option 1, but I also like to tell myself that old cartoons were just better.
