What country do you like the most.  Explain it. Cannot be; I like USA because I live in it. Must list the reason why.

I like living in Scotland because I've never been at risk of being shot in school, the BBC is a proper news station, we get Doctor Who and Sherlock, much as we like to complain about the weather it's generally neither extreme nor fatal in any direction, the politicians don't tend to be too extreme or insane, religion isn't much of a big deal outside of Glasgow and some of the more conservative islands, I get four free years at University for finishing High School, we have the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which is one of the best street theatre and low-budget theatre festivals in the world, the landscape is lush and utterly gorgeous, Scottish accents are fun, we have castles all over the place, we're not England, we have Scotland Loves Anime every year which screens some great movies, Comic-con is coming to Glasgow as of this year, The Lion King musical is coming to the Edinburgh Playhouse as of this year, I can tell when it's one o'clock by the sound of gunfire, you can deep-fry ANYTHING, it's very easy to get very fine tea and shortbread, a good number of amazing actors and actresses come from a very close radius around me, you can drink from ten o'clock in the morning, you don't need to drive because the trains and buses go EVERYWHERE, the Edinburgh Tattoo is awesome, Celtic traditions are fascinating, Harry Potter was written in Edinburgh and Scots invented all sorts of cool stuff like whisky and penicillin and television.

So lots of reasons, actually.

I like Japan. So the cost of living is a little high... but there's quite a bit of culture that surrounds each part of Japan. From the traditional to the technological, Japan features it all. The food is delicious (the ramen, the soba), and especially the special goods (like those really good snacks whose names I cannot recall at the moment). Most importantly, the people actually work in Japan when they have a job, meaning people aren't just lulling around and not contributing to the economy EVEN with a job (unlike Canadians, who may actually be decrepit due to their age and would still not quit from jobs that require them to be physically active).

Of course, there's the problem of overworking themselves.

Unfortunately, I can't really name my favourite country because I've only been to 3 places which all of them have their bad points. But out of those 3, probably Australia, the temperature changes are normal, not too hot and not too cold. We have awesome fireworks in the Harbour Bridge, there's a lot more nature and beautiful plants around than the other 2, plenty of good quality concerts and halls to visit, overall it's a very balanced place, but only has bad points in the social area.

Hard to say. There's no country that stands above all others and every country has some sort of flaw or thing to dislike about it. America is the world leader in technological innovation and cultural production and the idea of being a nation of immigrants is quite cool, but there are aspects of the political system (both in the structural sense and in the sense of of a certain party that begins with the letter R) that drive me nuts and we're also a world leader in more dubious categories (incarceration, near the top in pollution and pollution per capita).

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."

I like England for many reasons. Brilliant locations, lovely accents, funny fashion style, etc. I just think it's a great country. I also like the fact they drive on the wrong side of the road! (at least for me)
I hope I'll visit the place more often :)

I've only been to three too. USA's ok, and I've only been to Canada once, so Portugal I guess.
Portugal in the winter's like spring most of the time, unless you go up north. June is mildly hot, and there aren't much tourists so it's a good time to vacation. It's a beautiful country.

Oh yay, you're racist too

Anyway, I really want to go to Bhutan some day. The monks I worked with in India were almost exclusively from Bhutan and spoke so lovingly about it. Education and healthcare are completely and utterly free, from pencils to University, from paracetamol to brain surgery. Going by their photos, the entire country is a stunning mountain vista. Their national dress is really pretty. Their national sport is archery and one of the monks showed us how he handmakes his own bows. The national religion is a unique fusion of Buddhism and old Bhutanese nature worship with some absolutely spectacular festival dances and costumes. Because the national religion is Buddhism, harming or killing animals in Bhutan is illegal and meat has to be imported. According to the monks, the king spends a lot of time on humanitarian work and turned the country from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional democracy in 2008, and is so beloved to the population of Bhutan that "is like he is father and we are all children". The country measures its growth not in GDP but "Gross National Happiness" and is in fact officially the happiest country in Asia and eighth-happiest in the world, which just sounds lovely. It sounds like a lovely place to be.

The flag has a pretty awesome-looking dragon on it, too.

I've never been outside my home country, so I can't accurately paint a picture of any except the United States.

I like the U.S. because of the wide diversity of culture and climate within its borders. There are prosperous cities in every climate imaginable, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Las Vegas, etc. The country is a model for the world should be: a world where everyone puts aside prejudice and is able to work together for the common good. Granted we still haven't gotten there yet, but we're working on it. Besides, the establishment of the European Union, which is similar in many regards (and different in so many others) means we're doing something right, right?  ;D

The cultural variety is also something I enjoy. Every city is full of immigrants and descendents of immigrants from all over the world. Cuisine is widely varied, and although most is Americanized, it still gives a pretty decent picture. I admit the gun control isn't that great, especially in the wake of all the recent mass shootings, but I think that can be overlooked if you're looking for a nice place to live. Just don't migrate to the U.S. without a penny to your name: this isn't the 19th century anymore; you're gonna be screwed and out of work.
Knowing the truth and knowing what to do with the truth are two completely separate ideas. Learn to distinguish them. OR ELSE.

I'd say the Netherlands. Their general approach to issues is a very desirable one, and I have yet to hear something about it I dislike.
Germany and Sweden would be next, I guess.
