PROCEDURE
In order to vote for the MFA, you have to send a PM to Callid, containing your vote. For each award, you'll have to name exactly three (3) different people/threads/pairings/series for which you want to vote, and assign their rank to them clearly! The first on your list will receive 5 points, the second 3 points and the last 1 point. In the end, the number of points decide the winner.
The deadline for sending in votes is 84 hours from now, on the 6th of January at 18:00 CET. The results will be announced in the 6 hours following that.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
For the Special Member awards and the two member-related traditional awards, any member of the forum who posted at least once in the year 2012 is eligible.
For the Favorite Thread and the 2112-thread awards any thread in which at least one post was made in in 2012 is eligible. Note that a thread is not the same as a series of threads!
For the Most Oustanding Mafia Player Award, anyone who has played a game of forum mafia, slow-motion mafia or minimafia in 2012 or earlier is eligible, if they made at least one post (of any kind) in 2012.
For the artistic awards, any member who has posted/linked to an image they drew or posted/linked to a fanfic they wrote in 2012 or earlier is eligible, if they made at least one post (of any kind) in 2012.
For the Favorite Anime/Manga Series Award, any anime or manga series published in 2012 or earlier is eligible, except Detective Conan and Magic Kaito. If there may be doubt about the existence of the series (meaning it has no Wikipedia article ), the voter must include some evidence of the series existence.
For the Favorite Forum Pairing, the pairing must be listed in the True Pairings thread as a Current Pairing or Former Pairing, and it must have begun in 2012 or earlier.

REQUESTS
These are not rules, but I'd still hope you follow these:
Please let your PM have a "MFA 2012" somewhere in its title, that will make sorting them way easier for me.
Please refer to whatever your voting for by its actual name. If I can't find a thread, member or series, they'll get zero points. Links would be awesome, but actual names are fine. If you want to, you can also refer to threads and members by their ID (unless they're banned/deleted).
For artists and writers, please link to their image or story. I can't possibly search through all their posts to find them, so unless they have a thread in the Fan Works section, I'll probably not find them (resulting, again, in zero points).

EXAMPLES

Hi Callid, my votes for the Favorite Thread are Ai+Conan, First Impression and ShinRan.

INVALID: No ranking for the threads! It might be that they are listed in the right order, but it might also be that the voter missed that part and intended for them to be equal.

Hi Callid, my votes for the Favorite Thread are:
1. Ai+Conan
2. First Impression
3. ShinRan

VALID: The ranking is obvious.

Hi Callid, my votes are (ordered 1st to last each time):

VALID: The ranking is still clear. As said above, though, it'd be better if you referred to threads by their actual names, if I can't find them, they get zero points :x
Yes, I don't know all the threads in the forums.

The invalid examples from last year are also still INVALID.

Just to be politically correct, there are more kinds of "art" than just images and writings.

OK, it seems this point needs clarification. A thread is a thread, not a series of threads. Therefore, you can't choose "Mafia", "What's your opinion on" or "Random Poll of the Day". These are series, not threads. You can choose one particular thread out of the series, for example "Random Poll of the Day 385" or "What's your opinion on... Callid?" (:P), but not the whole series.

Alright, the ranking's ready, everything is sorted out. I'll start publishing the 3rd ranks in all categories at 22:00, 4 hours after the deadline above, followed by the 2nd ones at 23:00 and finally the first place at 0:00.
Sometime after 0:00, I'll also publish the complete ranking.
It should be noted that only those will be listed who received at least SIX votes. Basically, any that has been voted for at least twice, not counting 3rd ranks. Furthermore, if there is a draw, all those drawn will receive the same rank, while the next one after them will receive the immediate next rank (so if there are two users tied for second, they both receive second and whoever comes next gets third (not fourth)).
Concerning the percentages, they show the percentage of the maximum attainable votes, not the percentage of votes cast, as noone can reach the total number of votes cast. In order to reach the total number, they'd have to be first, second and third place for every voter, which was not allowed, which is why the percentage is based on the number of votes attainable had everyone who voted voted them first.

For those interested, the number of people who voted was 15, and the category in which most people voted (Favorite Thread) had 13 voters :x

Concerning the Favorite Manga/Anime Series, after accounting for first and second place, there was no series with more than 5 votes left for third place. Therefore, no third prize was given out.

For the percentages, note the post above.

Second place will be published 40 minutes from now.
