Was a toss-up between Captain Hook and Jack Sparrow, but went with Jack Sparrow.

and even then, I capitalize things if it's not the first sentence in a line. But like here, I'll capitalize that. The only thing that I'm really wishy-washy about is whether or not I capitalize proper nouns inside of sentences.
all topics/polls I've created have totally legit capitalization. And even if I didn't capitalize someone's name, I certainly wouldn't capitalize the second but not their first.

I think the "capitalizing the last name, but not the first" part is what's bothering me, tbh. 
And the fact that the others are all capitalized... poor jack Sparrow.
