So far mostly option 3 for me (but I catch up on the news/results via the Internet). Planning to sit down tomorrow probably and watch it more.

watched some of the opening ceremony, so option 2. A little of option 3 also, though I don't go to the TV myself, my roomie does, and and he manages to rope me into a conversation while I'm nearby getting food I'll end up watching some of the events also :V

Option 4. In fact, I have the TV turned on while studying (most of the day) but I don't pay much attention to it. When something interesting happens, I stop what I'm doing and watch it.

Option 3, I'm mostly watching general coverage.

'I spend hours watching it.'

It's generally running on the TV all day at our house, though which event is on and if anyone's watching it is fairly random.

I've never been able to watch any of the Olympics.

Second option.

I watch a large amount of swimming, quite a bit of archery, and all of the U.S. basketball games. The rest... I usually watch if there's some heated match expected or if the U.S. is in the finals of the event in question, etc.

Option four, though I'm having trouble doing that this year due to being busy.
