Guess I'll go with the first option. I don't see it ending in any other way, and ending it on a depressing tone would just be in sad after such a long series (unless it's done in an awesome way)

Happy ending with a conclusive epilogue set X years in the future (don't care how many, as long as it's at least 1 year).

Barring that, I want any ending. Seriously. Even if it's just "oh, this was all just a really awful dream". I love this series, but it definitely deserves to have a proper ending.

Pretty sure "was a dream" is in fact a twist ending

It's a bad twist, though.

There are ways to accomplish a twist ending without evoking "it never actually happened." IMO, the "it was just a dream" scenario is a cop-out and a sign of being too lazy to write a real ending.

I'd like a twist or bittersweet ending, but really I JUST REALLY WANT AN ENDING IN THE NEXT DECADE.
