You pretty much need to look at the Chinese if you need to solve the case, because with DCTP's release schedule of about on or a day after the official release date (fairly sane if you ask me), you maybe have 24-48 hours to solve the case before the solution comes out in Chinese. Sure you can just not look, but the problem is there is no accountability, that is people claiming not to look can look. Also people are more interested in solutions before the Chinese spoilers hit.

With the Chinese releasing 5 days in advance of the actual release, I am seriously considering a switching to a personal no Chinese trans policy and just not posting solutions anymore if I have any questions about my deduction after 24 hours. I hate being rushed; it was a lot better when the Chinese released later because I could spend more time researching and such and could think about things more.

The most recent manga case convinced me that it's just a better system to wait for the English. When DCTP is delayed releasing, it really makes it unfun when you have two Chinese scans and having nothing to work with before the solution hits.
