Eighth. Although may not be so much that it was hard as I just wasn't paying much attention. :-X It was around that time I learned that passing notes and talking to friends during class and not doing my homework was more fun than being a good student. :P

well in 4th grade I noticed it getting harder, then again in 7th grade, then in 11th grade I moved countries so it suddenly became a lot easier despite effectively skipping 10th grade (except for math in 12th grade) so I don't really know which option to choose.

Considering everything swapped from being in Chinese to being in Malay in 7th grade maybe I'll just go with that.

12, as it was the first time I got a C on a report card, mostly due to an AP English teacher whose idea of good writing was completely different from every other English teacher I'd had before D:

I didn't have any trouble in school.  Of course, I barely learned anything, either, but I blame the district for that.  "Teaching for tests" and whatnot.

Never had any trouble, but also never had to try. I can't remember a single pre-college assignment that I was even remotely stressed about. I'm sure I could come up with something eventually, but nothing's coming to mind just yet.

7th Grade for me. It's the time I was introduced to Harry Potter. I was more interested in reading the novels instead of my textbook. Oh yeah, it's also the time that I got addicted to MMORPG so I kind of neglect my studies back then.

11th I guess? The teachers suddenly became all shy with good grades.
Sometimes there were pupils that knew everything and you thought: "Whoa! Totally deserves an A!" but got a B instead D:!

In my country school grades are different, so I don't kniw how to answer this poll. For me, I think school began to be more diffucult when I was 13. Which grade is this?

The largest step was from 5th to 6th grade, though things got harder each year until 10th, which was by far the hardest. Well, that's what you get for entering a Hochbegabtenklasse, I guess :P

It never got *really* hard, though, it was just that my grades dropped from average 1.5 (5th grade) to 3 (10th grade), only to rise to 2 (11th grade) and 1.7 (13th grade) ::)
Spoiler: Approx. Conversion Table
American High School - German Gymnasium (and only Gymnasium!)
A+ = 1+, 1, 1-, 2+ = 0.7 - 1.7
A = 2, 2- = 2.0 - 2.3
A- = 3+, 3 = 2.7 - 3.0
B+ = 3-, 4+ = 3.3 - 3.7
B = 4 = 4.0
B- = 4-, 5+ = 4.3 - 4.7
C+ = 5, 5- = 5.0 - 5.3
C, C-, D+, D, D-, F = 6 = 6.0

Red ones are failing grades, orange ones are failing grades, but you do not need to repeat the year if you get one in only one subject, and greens ones are failing grade in the Abitur (final exam in 13th grade) only.
(The discrepancy stems from the fact that only the best third of pupils visit a Gymnasium, but the grade average is still about 3. Therefore, they can pretty much be only compared to the top third of a High School class, and even then not quite)
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.

school was never hard for me*, but by the same token i always have had an extremely poor work ethic and as such and didn't do homework, even when i was in third grade, so i never really got straight As at any point.

college is much easier because of how much less homework you have.

*to qualify that boast somewhat, i did find the math class i took in 9th grade (algebra 2) fairly hard, same with AP physics in 12th grade.

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
