had 2 dogs when I was growing up. Both aren't around anymore.

I've also got countless fish and the not-so-occasional wild visitors :-\ But I won't count those, I think...

A dog and a funfair goldfish. The goldfish was actually with us longer than the dog; we adopted Suki when she was 12, so she was only with us a couple of years, while Goldie (I WAS SIX OKAY) defied all conventions of funfair goldfish and lived five years.
