The Meaningless Forum Awards! (2011)

Well folks, It's 2 weeks before 2012 and you know what that means, right?

Welcome fellow members to The Meaningless Forum Awards of 2011!

Who did your year? Who made you laugh? What was your favorite thread? What is your favorite forum crack couple?
This is your chance to tell everyone and make your vote!

The awards are:
Favorite Member
King/Queen of the General Discussion Board
King/Queen of the Off Topic Board
Favorite Board
Favorite Thread
Funniest Member
Crack Couple of the Forum
Most Random Member
Most Missed Member
Most Helpful Member

How do I vote?
This isn't a normal poll. You will have to send me a PM with the awards and members/threads you want to vote for. For each award, you have to put three different members/threads/boards/couples! If you don't, your vote won't be counted.

Example:
Member X wrote:Hello Kor, you are the coolest person on earth. By the way, I want to vote for the Funniest Member award.
My vote goes for Akonyl.
This vote won't be counted because only one name was put.
Member X wrote:Hello Kor, you are the coolest person on earth. By the way, I want to vote for the Funniest Member award.
My vote goes for:
Akonyl
Akonyl
Akonyl
This vote wouldn't be counted because the same name appears more than once.

Further more, for the " Crack Couple of the Forum" award, you have to choose two different people in couple. Abs.XAbs. won't be counted. Also, you have to vote for two existing members, voting for Jd-Xtable wouldn't be counted, unless you can provide proof that a table did register to this forum.

Can I vote for whoever I want?
You can't vote for members who weren't active at all in 2011. You can check on their profile when they were last active. This rule applies to all of the awards except for the "Most Missed Member" award (in which you can vote for people who weren't active in 2011).

The rules for the "Most Missed Award" are deleted, you can vote for whoever you miss no matter when he last visited the site

Do I have to vote for all of the awards?
You don't have to vote for all of the awards. You can select to which award you want to vote. Just make it perfectly clear in the PM.

Why do I have to waste my time sending you a PM?
If I make a poll for each award, I am bound to forget members and other options. Then we can get into mess with the "remove vote" option and it's simply too much trouble. This is the easiest way.

How do we know you won't change the votes according to your will and screw the rules?
A very good question. I want two people to volunteer, and when you send a PM to me, you will also send the same PM to the other two members who volunteered to help me. In case you sent me a PM, yet there was not yet any volunteer at the time, once it is announced who the volunteers are, send them the same PM you sent me.
Before the awards will be given, I and the volunteers will compare the results in order to make sure.
If you decide to screw with us and send each one of us a different PM, your vote won't be counted at all.

What if one of the volunteers tries to screw with the results?
I'll choose only the people I believe wouldn't do such a thing.

Can I vote for banned/deleted members?
If they were banned during the year of 2011, yes.

Can I vote for banned/deleted members (who were banned before 2011) for the Most Missed Award?
Highly depends (will require PMing with me first)

In awards 2 and 3 (King/Queen of General Discussion and Off Topic Boards), what do they basically mean? Are the King and Queen are two different awards or is it the same award?
You see, this is a very progressive forum and we've come to the understanding that a queen doesn't really need a king, and vice versa, so basically, the gender isn't split and you vote for both gender in these awards. If a male gets the award, he would obviously be the king. If a female gets the award, she would be the queen. If someone who has yet to reveal its gender gets the award.......we'll work something out.

Can I simply vote in this thread instead of PMing you?
No. You can post your vote, but if you don't send me a PM, your vote won't be counted.

What if I voted and then I change my mind, can I send another PM and change my vote?
I would highly prefer such cases not to happen. This can be discussed in PMs with me, though. If I do allow it, you will have to send a new PM both to me AND the volunteers, and the PM has to contain not only your change in vote, but also all of the other stuff you vote on too.

What's the policy regarding the "Favorite Board Award"?
Basically all the boards including the Child Boards.

What's the policy regarding the "Crack Couple of the Forum"?
Crack couples are basically couples that don't actually exist - meaning that you can't vote for any couples that exist or have existed in the past. Here is a specific list of couples you can't vote for:
True Pairings thread wrote:bluekaitou1412 x Girl19
Conia x Yurikochan (Yuricon)
Callid x nomemory
Akonyl x KleeneOnigiri
ProfParanoia x pofa
Abs. x PhoenixTears

Belphegor x KainTheVampire
Parkur x Azu
ShiraKiryuu x Shin_ichi01
Xcommando x Carter3
Edogawa4869 x KainTheVampire
ShiraKiryuu x meme
Tanner-kun x Elika
Last year you had Eve and Akonyl host the awards with you in the ceremony. Can I participate too this year?
My plan for this year is to have a different host for every award, but we'll see how it works out. If you want to host, you just need to PM and ask me (the decision is up to me), however as long as the time of the ceremony is still at question, I suggest to hold on and see if you're even available at the time.

The results will be announced in 1/1/2012!
Specific time of vote closing time and the ceremony will be announced later.

Any further questions can be asked in this thread.

For the most missed: does it absolutely have to be their last active date? What if their last post was before the cutoff date, but the last active date is after?

In that case, yes, it can also be based on the date of their last post.

Yeah, you're one year late with this reaction considering the same thing was written last year as well.

when you said this I was hoping that you were making a joke about an existing "tldr Member" award and I was about to say that's the most amazing award ever

but then there wasn't one :(
