awww but spiders are interesting creaters... they don't bite unless provoked and no they cannot hiss ( that may be snake you are thinking) and only one can jump ( jumping spider) they only hide cause YOU tried to kill him.

awww but spiders are interesting creaters... they don't bite unless provoked and no they cannot hiss ( that may be snake you are thinking) and only one can jump ( jumping spider) they only hide cause YOU tried to kill him.

They are man-eating spiders and aggressive, so they will come AT YOU, they do hiss from what I remember (there was one in my house and it charged at my mom, hissing, and you could HEAR it's legs pitter pattering across the floor it was so huge), and I'm not sure whether or not those suckers can jump.

and yes, they DO hide. I just ran into one a couple of months ago that hid (it was a baby so that explains the lack of aggressiveness, although it did charge at me until I through a shoe at ait FOR charging at me...)

Wolf spiders will inject venom freely if continually provoked. ( from wiki) = see they only want to be left alone and not be bothered. Basically if they attack you you are too dumb to live.

Also from wiki :Wolf spiders are capable of defensive bites, and some South American species may give bites that are medically significant. Nevertheless, the presence of wolf spiders generally works in favor of humans because they consume insects.
