With something so morally rude, that's the only thing that makes sense to me.

What I found "funny" was that the individuals were walking into a troll. I mean, when the initial post was about an effortless grammatical error, and people get mad at me for pointing it out, however harsh I did, while making more mistakes, they are setting themselves up.

they may have been "walking into a troll", but the fact of the matter is that you were trolling in the first place.
you were trolling a memorial service.
@sonoci: I was thinking that as well, but I would think just as little of him if this was a troll as if it's real, so it doesn't really matter a whole lot to me.
@kleene: while "don't feed the troll" is certainly a phrase and these people were certainly feeding a troll, keep in mind that many people don't use the internet for much past google/facebook/youtube, and are completely ignorant to the idea of trolls and the fact that people use the internet to be total asshats. In no way is it their fault for replying, because even if they hadn't replied, his original post would still be there and he would still be just as much of an asshat as he is now. If his intention was solely to address the misspelling, perhaps it would be different, but the tone is very obviously not in any sense of the word "respectful".
