I chose dress since I rarely wear dresses and I think I could preserve the quality even more that way. I'll only use it for a rare/special occasion of course.

Slacks/Jeans. I once had three pairs of one that was just perfect - except, within a few years, they were all completely broken due to wearout :(
I still miss them :'(
