Fun facts:
In the hebrew dub, there were some odd name changes:
Frieza - Pariz
Vegita - Makita
Piccolo - Piccoro
Krillin - Kririn
Bulma - Burma
The later three make some sense. It was the first series (after 10 years perhaps) which was translated directly from japanese to hebrew (unlike Pokemon, which was translated from the english dub), so the translators might have had the r vs. l conflict.
Though at the start, the translation was done horribly. In fact, at the start, Chichi called Gohan "Gohan-chan" which isn't wrong obviously, but applying japanese honorifics in hebrew dub, where only one character has a honorific, it's odd and confusing. I think the translators actually believe that chan is part of Gohan's name, though then you have to wonder why were they chosen to translate in the first place.
